What you have is called Eschar which is something like a fake scab...meaning you don't have healthy tissue above whatever is underneath so your wound isn't healing properly. You need to go to a doctor to get it debrided...yes it hurts but if you get an infection that is worse it would be more painful.

No, it looks like it's starting the ending stages of the healing process. Leave it alone and it should be fine.

it says on picture from 2004.... i should hope it healed by now and no it does not look infected at all
