My neighbors installed one of the 'new' outdoor woodburners last fall and ever since then our house smells of smoke. The dogs come in smelling smoky. We hang clothes outside to dry...they dry full of the smoky smell. My husband has breathing problems that have escalated 10 fold, I have bloody noses, watery irritated eyes and sore throats and congestion. My husband talked to the neighbor, and he said he thought he might have a problem with the height of his chimney. Well he did have someone put up a taller one but the situation gets worse everyday that we are exposed to this irritant. Even one of my German Shepherds has developed a wheeze, and another one has eyes that run and matter all the time. We have no ordinances against these burners, yet I feel like not only has this neighbor ruined our lives environmentally, he is also threatening our health. Any suggestions at all will be appreciated.

I'm looking for the correct medical names of the medicines. If anyone with fibromyalgia has used them, I would appreciate your comments about how well they worked.

I have them a lot and worry that the symptoms I'm feeling are really a heart attack. So that just makes me panic more. Or I'll worry about getting stomach aches, which will in turn CAUSE them and thus create a cycle of panic. Any tips?

Not trying to make fun of people, I'm honestly just curious. People who literally seem to have no neck whatsoever - their head seems to rest directly on their shoulders - is this an actual medical condition? What causes it? What is it called? Does it have to do with the spine?

(I posted this under the wrong section, so here it is again. ) Our brother, half-brother to some of us, needs a liver transplant. He is 58. We are his full and half siblings ages 51-65 (there are 6 of us). Questions: Are we too old for one of us to donate a part of our livers? Also our blood types are different. Could some one explain which type can donate to which type? Who can AB negative donate to? We think he is A+, but are waiting for answers to this, so a complete run-down would be appreciated since we all have different blood types and his type is still unknown to us.

Also if someone has donated part of their liver out there, could you please share your experience with us. THANK YOU.

Basically what happens is that the doctor takes his really really small thing that appears to be a hammer and pulls it down the middle of the foot? If your toes go up, I guess your in trouble, so I heard?? What would I be in trouble for? Like what does it mean if my toes go up? Any help? I think the test starts with a "F" or a "V"

Fecal impaction, divertculosis? I had it performed on me and the doctor simply said I did not have a bowel obstruction. By passing this test does it automatically mean that I have none of the above? The doctor was a very unagreeable person, I wasn't able to discuss much with him. Anyone know?

I am 17 years old and I have been having severe headaches and feeling really weak for the past month or so. I keep forgetting words when I am speaking and it is aggravating. I went to the hospital when it all started (was only headaches at first) and they said I had a sinus infection (without running any blood, urine or x-ray tests.) even after taking all the prescribed medicine it continues. I had a c-section in august and other then that no serious surgeries or illnesses. Need help--- and please don’t tell me to ask a doctor...

I already know that it is QUITE painful. My fiancee suffers from Lupus and was just recently was hospitalized. Her sedmentation rate was elevated to 87 - which means she is in SERIOUS pain. The reason I ask this is because she just found out from work that someone was calling her a "baby" and that Lupus is nothing. I just want some people to reassure us that this isn't all in her head. Thank you.

Although I sleep 9 hours a night and have had all the sleep apena testing I suffer from extreme daytime sleepiness. Narcolepsy is what the doc says. I have tried Addeerall and don't like it at all. I have read up on Provigil and it sounds pretty well tolerated. The Doctor also says I have fibromyalgia, But I am not for sure of that as I have been diagnosed with several spine problems and meniscal tears in knees, also some arthritis, that I figure they all kind of fall in the fibro range. So I am afraid Doc is just using the fibro thing to quit looking . SO as I have researched alot I am just interested in finding out from anyone that has used Provigil how well it works. It is so expensive I can't afford another batch of meds that I won't use.

My wife Jennifer and I have a daughter with Autism Spectrum disorder Called PDD(nos) Pervasive developemental Disorder not otherwise specified. It is autism awareness month Throughout April. for those that are familuar with autism there have been some talk shows that have been very informative on Autism. The CDC is saying that the statistic is 1 in every 150 Children will be effected by some form of Autism. Lets examine this. You have a better chance to get Autism than to win the lotto, get Aids win at bingo or to get hit by a car. That should be scary. but yet there are very few people aware of this problem. If it is this prevelant now. what will theodds be in 1-10 years. will we waste that much time before we do something about it. are we going to say "it aint my problem it doesnt effect me" It is a matter of survival to get a handle on these problems and figure out not only how to prevent it but to help the ones that allready are dealling with Autism. With Alisha we were so blessed we don't have all of the issues that autistic people have she isnt a behavior problem she doesnt bang her head against the wall. I am gratefule for that there are people who are out there that have kids that go un diagnosed because our medical community either sees no profit in it or doesnt care at all. If it wasnt for some very caring people at out local BACH ECI center in out area we would have never gotten the diagnoses as soon as we did. when your child at 2 1/2 has no words, doesnt point, hug ,or says mama or daddy there is a problem it isnt "she will talk when she is ready" there is a problem. So I urge anyone who wants to learn more and feels that they could help someone they know by sharing information that is ready and availible from the computers, magazines,tv, and books to learn and share all that you can. anyone who has an expectant loveone educate them it doesnt mean we should dispose of the children it means we need to educate ourselves so we can help them achieve thier highest potential and make known that we want a cure for Autism and our Polititians carrers depend on thier ability to effect change and implament polocy to help with therapies and cures for this growing epidimic

The area around my chest like the bone right in the center is very tense sometimes, when i move a certain way. And if i like sort of turn my shoulder forward and to the inside it kind of pops like popping your knuckles but it's a lot smaller and quieter. It kind of hurts to do it but it is kind of a habit now. Why is my chest like that? I think its pretty recent...I think it might be how i am sleeping but i'm not sleeping weird or anything

I also smoke about one cigarette a day. thats about it on medical history..
