My wife gets severe pains in her upper left abdomen.
Which goes away during her period.
She had a sonagram and pelvic exam and a small fibriod tumor was found.
But the doctor says that is not the problem.
Any suggestions ?????

Have they checked for ovarian cysts? A simple ultrasound will tell you if cysts are present and how big they are. Most women get them, some make their presence known and others don't. I know how painful they can be cuz I get them regularly and even had one rupture once. Ouch!

Hope this gives you something else to cross off the list... it takes so long sometimes to find the cause of abdominal pain. I wish both you and your wife the best of luck with this search, hope they find the problem and make her well.

The upper left abdomen contains the stomach and the left part of the diaphragm, and below the stomach is some large and small intestines, but it isn't usual to feel intestinal pain there. Start keeping track of when the pain happens, what provokes it, what relieves it, etc.
My firs guess would be that it is stomach pain. If so, there should be some connection to food, eating, or certain foods. Digestion can also be affected by stress, exercise, and maybe other things, for her own comfort.
There could also be pain from a spasm in the diaphragm. This can be brought on by exercise.
Once she has made some careful observations of the timing and nature of the pain, she might have a better idea of what it is, or the doctor might.
But, if the doctor examined her and didn't find any physical abnormalities beyond a fibroid tumor, it is probably not dangerous. If it causes her a lot of trouble, though, she should persist in trying to find out what it is.

Someone as soon as instructed me it used to be referred ache from the bowel... might be fuel or a response to meals however on the grounds that you've gotten had it for 2 days it might be a little bit extra cussed. The incontrovertible fact that it hurts while you transfer your diaphragm makes it sound like referred ache from someplace for your stomach and now not any sort of center factor. I've heard of appendix inflicting ache like this. Also disorders within the small gut will also be felt for your higher stomach Because of the 2 days of ache, I consider it maybe time to get the aid of a health practitioner simply in case it is an contamination or a blockage and even an imbalance for your intestinal plants Good Luck (c;
