I suffer from these too and know how miserable they can make you. I did try sinutab (I don't get on with sudafed) and I did find it quite effective but it put my blood pressure up. After 3 weeks of trying everything (karvel capsules in a steam inhaler, sinutab, paracetamol, ibuprofen etc) I tend to give up and get some Amoxycillin from the doctor and a steroid nasal spray. That clears me up within 2 days. The doctors are now saying that research shows the anitbiotics aren't effective against the sinus infections. As far as my case is concerned I found that rubbish. It is effective for me, so I insist on it!
PS a lot of decongestants can put up your bp so take care when using them and don't use them too much.

saline sprays dry the sinus' and also kill the germs so thats an answer anti-biotics arent too effective as they dont have any blood vessels to trans port them to the site or not many

You are probably going to need an antibiotic. I would recommend following up with your dr to see what they think.

Try a decongestant not a painkiller. = Better yet, ask your pharmacist for suggestions.
