After 30 years, I ran into an old high school boyfriend. Our children are now older than we were when we dated! Yet it's shocking how little has changed about us. That said, I was disturbed by my friend's eyes. They seem to, as I said above, operate independently. Sometimes both eyes are looking right at me. At other times, I had to decide which eye was focusing on me while the other one looked at different things, apparently. He apologised for not being able to "focus on things for long" and I said I hadn't noticed. I Googled this and all I could find was Strabismus (being cross-eyed or wall-eyed). This is definitely not that. Can it be fixed?

Is muscle twitching/cramping of one hand most likely just a temporary thing? When I don't try to move it, my middle finger twitches. I don't have other symptoms and am not medicated. Thanks.

I was diagnosed about a year ago with hypo-thyroidism and was put on Synthroid.

The problem is, I am beginning to feel like I have no energy again. (even though they have upped my dosage of synthroid) I have to sleep so much, I can't get school work done, and just in general do not feel well at all. I also seem to catch viruses and infections very easily, I've had bronchitis 3 times in the last year and recurring bladder infections, I've been having them from the middle of December to right now.

I went to an endocrinologist Friday and when he examined my thyroid gland, he felt something on the right side of it, so I had to get a lot of bloodwork done and am scheduled to get an ultra-sound next week.

What are the chances of having thyroid cancer, would they call me back if the blood results were abnormal or just wait until I go for my ultra-sound? Sorry I guess I'm just scared = ( If anyone has any idea what's going on, any feedback would be great, thanks...

a few minutes ago as I was watching the screen, I notices a blurry spot right at the focus point of my right eye. now, 15 minutes later, it has cleared in the center, but widened out and gotten larger. This has happened before, a while back, and it eventually just widened out and went away. It is painless and I feel no ill effects except for the slightly distorted vision is very slightly nausiating when I am reading...What is going on?

I eat healthy and exercise, but sometimes i look like I'm 5 months pregnant. I also have frequent diarrhea and some stomach pain. I was diagnosed with stomach paresis 2 years ago after an extensive abdominal surgery. I did have similiar symtoms then, but they went away about a year ago. I don't know if my current problem is related or something different. I don't have health insurance and I can't afford to pay for a doctor or a bunch of tests right now. Can anyone offer any suggestions???

I was feeling fine this morning when I got up, but now I feel terrible. I have aches all over; my head, legs, lower back, and neck especially. It hurts to breathe-and drawing in a deep breath always results in severe coughing. I'm exhausted and weak. Can someone please help me?

I have general anxiety and social anxiety in particular. I just can't stop shaking or tremoring, and I fidget all the time. It's even hard to make eye contact. The only thing I've found that works is alcohol and chewing gum. Please help!

Stiff neck and moderate to severe pain behind eyes. It feels like a really bad tension headache in the muscles around my eyes. I have to close my eyes when I turn my head because it hurts too much to move them around on their own. I've had it for a few days now and can't get rid of it by taking otc pain relievers. I also took some Valium, thinking it would help relax the muscles, but it only got worse.
Last week I also had a sore throat but not so much anymore.
I'm worried because I never get sick and hate seeing doctors. Also around a week ago I sat outside and was bit by mosquitos. I doubt I got anything from the mosquitos, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway.
Should I just wait a few days to see if the pain goes away on its own?

If someone was given an initial diagnosis of a not too serious inflamatory disease, and then a few weeks later told it was in fact cancer. Only to be told a week after that, that it was in fact an inflamatory disease, but not as orginaly diagnosed.

Would this be considered to be negligence on the part of the NHS?

On night one my left ankle swelled followed shortly by my foot & lower leg. The following morning the swelling had gone down minimally but my right ankle, foot & leg were now swollen too.
By the evening I was getting what I feels muscle pains in both legs with occassional stabbing pains in what felt like the bones & joints.
On day three, both my legs from the waist down started aching and the arms started aching too.
It is difficult to walk due to the cramping type pain and what seems to be muscle tighness in my calves.
I have occassional tingling feelings in my feet and legs and sometimes it feels like I have ants crawling on my legs.
On the third night I went to the ED of my local hospital where they took blood and did an ECG. The ECG was normal.
I have had some small pains in my chest but in no one spot.
The doc i saw believed the swelling is not fluid, I agree as when you press on the affected areas there is not dimple left behind.
The affected areas are also tender when pressed.

I have a lot of stomach problems. I recently got an upper GI and small bowel series. I definately have IBS. Now the gastorenterologist saw something in the x-ray that he called lymphoid hyperplasia. I am not sure what it means and he also said the term is rare. He said that this was found in the distal illeum. I got a colonoscopy which was normal. He asked for me to get a capsule endoscopy because you can only view the small bowel closely this way. I havent found a doctor to give me that test. Should I be worried, and what is it?
