It's possible. I've wondered before if I have a thyroid problem also. I went and got tested, and as it turns out, I don't. But I did do some research recently on thyroid problems for that reason, and you can make an educated guess by determining if you have other thyroid related symptoms. Other symptoms are dry skin (some people always have dry skin, but if yours has gotten drier recently, then that could be a symptom), constantly feeling tired and low energy, insomnia, irritability, weight loss or gain (one is related to having too much thyroid hormone, and the other too little), headaches, heat or cold intolerance, dry/brittle hair or nails, anxiety or depression, a decrease in concentration or memory, and decreased sex drive.

Perhaps. I have a slow thyroid myself. Are you cold-natured, have dry skin, thin hair and tire easily? If you have some of those symptoms, it may be your thyroid.
