I've got no idea wot has made this sick but all day my tummy has been super swollen and sore. So sore that I can't stand up straight and have to hunch over to walk!! I'm not throwing up or even feel like throwing up but my tummy's just really achy and crampy. It's not that time of the month either !!! Only thing I can think of is maybe food poisoning. Does anyone have any relevant knowledge ???

A few times a day I have weird 'blackouts'. My doctor says he thinks it might be visual migraines, but I know that it isn't. Visual migraines last for 10-30 minutes. What happens to me is, I can be walking around and I'm fine, but a few seconds later I feel really hot, like I have a fever. Then a short while later I see black spots until all I see is black. Then my right side tingles a little and it's really weird. It doesn't last long, only about a minute. But it happens a few times a day. What could this mean?

Are we required to contact any specialist doctor to know if one is suffering from thyriod ? Or is it enough if one shows oneself to any medical practitioner ? Still, any specialist is better ?

three years ago the doctors classified me as bypolar. ever since i have been trying to find a way to live my life without letting my disorder get the best of me. its not easy. it hurts alot and i find myself running from people as if im protecting them from getting hurt as well.
i recently met a man that i connect with by talking and getting to know each other. after many months we finally met. we agreed that we had never felt so comfortable with anyone. it was amazing. then he went back home to texas (im in ny) and im confused.
he was hurt before and doesnt enjoy drama. im a walking drama queen. i try not to be because i dont like it but unfortunetly i havent figured out how to stop. anytime i act out he ignores me. honestly i would ignore me. but the more he ignores me the more i act out.
i dont know what to do. usually the only reason i act like a drama queen is because i dont feel loved. most of that is being bypolar. am i unlovable because im bypolar/ a drama queen?

My mother was a meth addict & my older brother is severly autistic (three of us were raised by our grandparents). I've met two other girls whose mothers were methheads, & they've got younger autistic brothers.

Reading an article about an autism gene that was found (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6369347.stm), I wonder if there's a link. What do you think?

I have scoliosis. I don’t know how severe because I have no insurance and can’t go to the doctor. I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis as a preteen. I know that most of the time I am in pain. I have trouble breathing sometimes and one shoulder blade sticks out/ the ribs on this side and my back are rounded. If I jump on a trampoline or run it kind of hurts. I get really self-conscious about it and whenever I talk to ANYONE about it, I cry. I’m crying right now…

Does anyone know of anything that’s low cost or free? I don’t have much money to spend. I feel really alone and have no clue why I cry every time I talk about it. I’m already different from everyone else…

In Australia we all have Medicare Cards, so we can go to the doctor for free.(There is a levy on this if you are working). If you are not working then you are issued with the Health Care Card, and that allows you to see some specialists for free, and allows you to get very cheap prescribed medication.

“We have children presenting with all the adult symptoms of alcoholism. Some are so addicted that it is actually dangerous to get them to stop drinking straight away”.

A new nationwide survey carried out across the UK by the Independent on Sunday newspaper has revealed that, children as young as twelve years of age are being diagnosed as alcoholics amid growing concerns about binge-drinking in Britain, where record numbers of pre-teens and teenagers now require hospital treatment for drink-related disorders.
