Talk to your local Health Department about finding a free clinic. There are lots of places that do those kinds of things. In Tennessee, for example, there is St. Jude. They don't turn down anybody, even if they know you can't pay them and have no insurance. Talk to the Health Dept, they'll help you find something.

I'm sorry. Is there a county hospital near you? Are you in the US?
You should be able to find help somewhere.. If there is a teaching university somewhere near you, call them, and see what they recommend. Have you ever had xrays done? I know I'm asking alot, but just trying to give you thoughts on where to go. I have scoliosis, and when I was a kid I went to a free clinic for 4 years, they periodically xray'd me, and taught me excercises to keep my back strong. Depending on how old you are, that may help you too. But, first I think you need an adequate 'work up.' Try county places, cause they often have clinics you can go to for free or almost free.

As others have said, this is not something to ignore because it only gets worse. On the good side, it can often be corrected inexpensively by a combination of stretching, specific exercises, and spinal manipulation by a chiropractor or osteopathic doctor. You may only need one doctor visit to get you started on the proper exercises.

yeah I have scoliosis too and it sux... you should really try to get help with it though before it gets any worse...surgery isn't really necessary unless it's really severe..I go to a chiropractor every 2 weeks for treatment...you should talk to someone about it...and don't worry it isn't that noticable to other people unless they know you have it. Try doing yoga or pilates for now..it should help a little bit to straighten it...but yeah you should really see someone about it..it won't go away on it's own and it will get worse after a while.

If you are under 18, shrine children's hospital (all over the country) offers free treatment whether it be bracing or surgery. If you are most concerned with cosmesis (appearance) I think only nonsurgical correction device with studies to back up is Spinecor. Check out http://www.myscoliosis.net

You have to have that taken care of! You are going to be hunched over like those old ladies! That is a required surgery. Just go to the doctor. You can work out payment plans with them. And at a hospital, when you have a surgery you can work out payment plans with them too.
