I smoke all different types now mainly different types of Marlboros.I have been smoking for 12 years... I am down to 2 or 3 a day but I have trouble when I am drinking...I have to quit because I get bronchitis almost every time I get sick. It always goes right from my sinuses to my chest and my airsacs drive me so crazy. It isn't worth it..

My doctor told me to never give up on quitting. He said each time it will get a bit easier like riding a bike.

My father is about to go on oxygen an had emphazema (sp?) and chronic bronchitis. He is 63 and not doing well at all. He has smoked since he was 10. I don't want my kids to see that happen to me. ;( Good luck quitting. We can do it! ;)

I have been trying to quit Marlboros off and on for a long time. I'm at two weeks now with no cigarette and have a craving every 10 minutes. I've smoked for over 18 years. It's hard. I don't actually know anybody that died from smoking, but I know several that died after not smoking for a few years. One famous person died of lung cancer 20 years after he had quit. A relative of mine died of a stroke after he had quit. Cigarettes had nothing to do with it. Fried foods were probably the culprit.

I smoked for about 20 years. I quit almost two years ago. The whole thought of emphysema really scared me into quiting. I also had cancer (not lung) so it was kind of a wake up call. I did not really want to quit, but knew it was time. I was hypnotized.I hope your friend will be ok. I have a friend who's mother had lung cancer. She has been cancer free for about 5 years now and doing well.

Good job Eagle...it does get easier as time goes by though I do still want one every now and then.

After a few drinks, nothing better than a Marlboro light. I usually don't smoke unless it has been a really crappy day, otherwise.
I was in Canada a couple of years ago and gave some guy a Marlboro light. They can't buy them there (they have some crap brand called Players). I swear I gave him the big O...

Ah. yes. Marlboro Menthol Lights. They are fabulous! Nah, I'd like to quit. I actually did for 10 months, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I started right back up tho. I dont know why. I was doing just fine.. I'd say I have smoked for about 7 or 8 years... not counting my 10 month "smoke-break"

Quitting is a good idea, but you have to do it when you're really ready. Ignore the anti-smoking commercials that the government has paid a zaillion bucks for b/c the bottom line is if you're craving it, you're gonna get it.
I smoke newport lights and have been smoking for 5 years.

u might want to ask: what made me smoke in the first place?

its time to quit... but it won't b easy.
habits are strongholds, difficult to break.
u will need more than willpower and self belief to do this.
what i might recommend u might not like or believe, but al i can tell u is: its way past bed time. wake up 4rm smoking..it pains me when i see ladies in grocery stores buy cigarettes. its killin them both physically and emotionally.

Yes, I do not smoke...My Grandpa died and it caused a war in are family..Long, long story. But he smoked three packs a day he lived in Africa, and he died of a heart attack. Smoking is gross...Theres this person and she smoked and stopped years ago now last year from her smoking her tonuge had to be cut off (part of it,) so she can hardly talk, and she can't taste food HARDLEY...So you really, should have neverstrated. :(
