My glands on the sides of my neck have been aching for about a week now. All of the sudden this morning, I was buckled over because my stomach was cramped. All last night, I was up going to the bathroom. I keep getting sinus headaches and my ears ache quite often. Also, my throat feels very swollen and I sometimes have some issues swallowing. I do NOT like doctors at all, so dont tell me I have to go.

I keep getting dizzy spells where it feels like I'm going to pass out but I don't. I feel immense pressure, almost like my eyes are going to roll into the back of my head but they're not moving. This has been happening for the last few months but before then I didn't have a problem. I have put a glare screen on my computer and feel generally healthy, but I'm just a bit worried that 'nearly fainting' might turn into actually fainting. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is my final try to find something that will cure my bum. I got kicked up the backside by a girl called Katie 5 days ago. The pain is still unbearable and the bruise has actually got bigger. The worst thing is she recorded the kick on her mobile phone and shes shown all her friends. I just found this out. Shall i see my doctor? I think she has seriously damaged a bone or muscle in my bum. All her friends are sending me texts taking the mickey. I`m a model and i can hardly walk because it hhurts so much. Please help.

Im am 14 years old, and I have been having some really bad stomach problems for the last few weeks. My normal doctor wants to send me to a gastroenterologist at the St. Louis Children's Hosptial, and I hate to admit it, but Im kind of scared. What do gastroenterologists do? What should I expect during my first visit?

Since I was about 13, I've been experiencing blackouts. They don't usually last for long, but they don't happen at any certain time of the day. They usually occur off an on for a couple of weeks and then disappear for a couple of months. Recently, I have my arms and legs have begun to become numb quite quickly when sitting or laying down, which I find kinda strange for a 19 year old. I also experience chest pains often, finding it hard to breathe or move. It used to only happen at night, when I would wake up from it, but it has recently begun to happen during the day.
I recently had a CT scan done, and all that was found was a small cyst on the right side of my brain, which my doctor said was nothing to worry about it. I was told it might be stress, but I figured I would ask here before I went to the doctors again.
Does anyone have any ideas of what this might be??
Thanks.

My mother is 81 years old, of Danish and British decent, lives in USA. She has extremely high cholesterol. The pills, from Zorcor to Niacin, give her legs cramps that are very severe. She eats a miminum of meat, but she does eat meat or fish or pultry every day.

Does anyone have experience with becomming a strict vegetarian that their cholesterol has significantly been reduced? (With this I mean no protein from living things at all.) Or will her body produce even more cholesterol? Any other ideas? She eats like a bird. She takes pills from high blood pressure, her tummy and pain pills. Thanks for any ideas about this subject.

I'm always anemic.I have Ulcerative colitis & so I bleed, but not all the time, so I don't understand why I get anemic even when my colitis isn't too bad. (Though my period is always early & heavy). I can't take ferrous sulphate because it makes me constipated exacerbating my colitis. I eat a balanced diet, including apricots, sprouts, spinach,& liver but my body doesn’t absorb the iron. I just had another course of Iron infusions, but I still feel anemic & I’m not due for a blood test until March 6 by which time I shall be even worse, then I’ll have to wait another 2weeks while the hospital sort out the paperwork etc & set up the appointments. They're so useless, I’m sure the treatments didn’t have any effect this time because they mucked up with my appointments-I had one infusion 15 December, the next was a month later, followed by 1 a week for 3 weeks thats 5. On previous occasions I've had 6 infusions-1 a week. How can I avoid this shambles &stop myself getting such low iron levels

This happened yesterday morning as well, but went away by 10 or so (it's 5a now). He complains that his stomach hurts a lot and is lying there moaning on the couch. We've given him pepto and some toast but neither seems to have worked. Any suggestions?

Just this evening, I experienced the most excruciating pain in my left leg. It went into a spasm and it felt like a knife was cutting my leg off. This happened since 2001 after I did running. It's 2007 now and it has gotten worst. I went to the doctor, and they only told me it was leg spasms. I looked up my symptons on google.com and researched peripheral artery disease. Can this be life threatening? I need a doctor's advise or anybody's suggestion that experienced this and how it is resolved.

Yesterday, I breathed in a lot of incense at a friend's house, and soon after my throat felt really dry (you know that dry feeling in your throat, which you can't get rid of no matter how much water you drink). I got about 6 hours of sleep and had to walk to school in the hot sun. Towards the end of the day, I started to get a runny nose, and a slight headache and was really tired. Now at home, I slept for about 2 hours and now I'm still a little bit tired and have a dry throat. Does anyone know what the symptoms point to?

Parkinsons disease is an umbrella term for a group of diseases for which the treatment of symptoms, varies enormously.
I emphasise.treatment is not for the disease itself, but for the symptoms.
Reports of "cures" are for symptoms only. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 1998,& have lost count ofthe times, good people have told me a new wonder cure was on the tv.In the paper etc.
They dont understand why I am not overjoyed
