This was taken from a website.

"As long as their condition is managed well, most patients with myasthenia gravis can expect to have a normal life span. In about 5 to 10 percent of cases, patients must alter their lifestyle and arrange activities to coincide with the times they have maximal strength."

Most people have a near normal life span, and the mortality rate is probably less than 4%.

Myasthenia Gravis is a strange disease. Some people suffer for their whole life with it - even in an iron lung. Others are lucky enough to reach a perfect balance with a drug called Mestinon. In yet other cases, it can disappear as quickly as it arrived. Usually goes for young people or the mid-lifers.
