Hi ya all. I'm 17 years old and i feel way very bad after swimming. Only after half an hour, my stomach starting to contract or something like that, then my head feel dizzy and i about to vomit. The longer i swim, the worst i will get.The annoying thing is, my house has a swimming pool and it make me curse the fact that I can't swim when the swimming pool is just next to my eyes ! Plese tell me what's wrong with my body ? Should i go to a doctor ?

oh ya and i remember that few years back its not like that. Cause, ya know, i didn't swim often.

2 obvious causes spring to mind. The first is that you are allergic to something that is added to the water-check with whomever services the pool about what the chemicals are and whether that could be the cause.
The other possibility is you are going at it too fast. Start slowly and build up. 10 minutes every day rather than 30 once in a while. After you feel good at 10 minutes for a week every day, increase to 15 minutes, then 20 etc. This is not what people like to do but it works. Then your body acclimatises to the new demands you are making without any complaining that you are stressing it too much. If neither of these works, don't know. Good luck!

It sounds to me like you are not getting enough fluid. It is a hard concept to grasp because people don't think they can get dehydrated swimming and often do not feel thirsty. Swimming is as strenous as any other aerobic exercise and you need to drink plenty of water or sports drinks like powerade or gatorade to replace electrolytes lost during exercise (even though you don't think you are loosing them because you are not sweating. . . .you are loosing them just like you would be by running a marathon)
