I have a bunch of floaters in my right eye, which also happens to be my more nearsighted one. They've been there for awhile, so I'm not really worried about them, but I was wondering if there's a way to deal with them or a method for ignoring them so I can forget about them.

Last night i started having like gurgling in my stomach, it just kept growling. This morning when I woke up I had to go to the bathroom, and my stool was dark, runny and kind of tarry looking. At first it looked black, but when i wiped it was a green color on the tiolet paper, i know this is really gross but i just want to know what could be causing this? also, i just finished an antibiotic today, and i stopped taking mucinex, i don't know if this could contribute to it or not? Also, I'm not having any vomiting, or nausea, or anything of that sort, just the diarreah.

Went to the Doctors five times in the last week for same pain. the pain is in my lower left abdomin...first she thought it was a virus, but i am not getting better, then she thought it was mono or dehydration but the lab results were normal, now she seems to think it is acid reflux. the thing is my stomache itself does not hurt, its lower. the pain comes and goes. when i have the pain i cant get comfortable and it feels like someone is twisting my insides. My doctor has prescribed me medication for acid reflux but i dont think i have it. any suggestions?

My dad's partner suffered a massive stroke back in October. The left side of her brain was devestated, she has been left with no speech and very limited movement.

My dad is unable to care for her now for a number of reasons including lack of finances.

The doctors say that she will not improve in the rehabilitation centre she is currently in and it is time for her to come home.

Someone in a similar situation has advised my dad that the best thing he can do is to leave her so that she can get all the help and support she needs to have some sort of quality of life (for example a live in carer and their home to be adapted for her needs) from the government or whoever helps in these situations.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation that can share their experiences?

I have had a prolonged cold this past month, and just when I thought it was going away, I woke up again the other day with a sore throat. It's still sore today, and I have a mild ear ache in my right ear and the sore throat seems to be localized on that side as well. Are these symptoms of an ear infection? If so, why does it affect my throat like this? It's Friday night and I won't be able to see the doctor until Monday at the earliest--is this OK or should I go to the hospital tomorrow, if it's likely to get worse over the next few days?

I went to the dr. on wednesday and I asked him to look into my ears. I had just gotton over a sinus infection and my ears were feeling full. He said the left ear had some fluid in it but it was clear and not an infection. I had just stopped my antibiotics the day before. He didn't really tell me anything to do for it. Yesterday I was getting a bit dizzy but nothing too bad. This afternoon I'm feeling quite dizzy, especially when I lay my head down. My ear still feels full. Could it have turned into an infection or is it just the fluid sloshing around in there?

How important is it for the doctor to be a member of the AMA (American Medical Association, I think it is)?

I need a new doctor. My current one just quit. In fact, the doctor's building I visit cannot seem to keep doctors for very long. I'm incredibly displeased with the level of care and apparently the doctors are unhappy as well so that makes things worse. None of them at this building are AMA members, so I'm not sure if that means something.

Is it really important for a doctor to join it, or is it just a fancy club they all join for bragging rights? Is there a reason that none of these doctors I've seen in the past couple years are AMA, do they not make the cut because they're so terrible?

I'm not sure if I explained it clear enough, the whole AMA and non-AMA has me confused. I just don't understand why some doctors are in it and some aren't.

For about a year now I've had this problem and it seems to be worse in the last few months:
Before my belly got bloated really bad and had some constipation around my period.....seemed normal.
now all of the time I am constipated. my belly feels all blown up and I have gas a lot. it is so embarrasing because people say taht I am gaining weight (even though I did a little..) but it is only my belly that is "fat" I feel like the muscles are pushing out or I am bloated...maybe even my back seems curved like it is pushing my stomach out (I do have scoliosis). Anyway..I am tired of people asking if I'm pregnat (about 15 comments!!!). I see commercials on tv like relicore for stress related belly fat...or ibs......my belly sometimes looks like those poor poor kids you see on tv taht are malnourished. I've changed my diet. I include hardly no fast food....I eat more fiber, fruits, and milk. Though my constipation seems not as bad when I eat better.my belly is still "pregant looking"

I have a 9 month old pitbull/lab mix. She is a VERY good dog and very smart but she has habits that my family is finding nearly impossible to break! First, she jumps on people when they come in. We have tried putting her in her kennel and letting her calm down and putting her on a leash when people come in but nothing seems to work. She also jumps up on the counters and tables to get food..but she doesnt beg at the dinner table. Another problem is digging in the backyard and pulling out the flowers. We have a big fenced in back yard but we had to put her on a leash because she gets to muddy from being outside now. Our last problem is chewing the furniture. She only chews 1 of our chairs and we have tried using the sour apple spray but she actually likes the taste of it. She has TONS of toys to play with and she gets a lot of attention from all the members of the family. Anything we can do?

I am getting a cold, but I dont want to go to the doc if I dont have to. Just a little nose blockage, minor sinus pressure/headache, and I can hear a sound in my ear that sounds like running water and bubbles popping. It was really annoying last night trying to sleep, but only noticing it sometimes so far today. The ear is not blocked, I can hear fine. What should I do? Am I getting an ear infection? Also I am 26 weeks pregnant so I can only take certain meds.
