If your kidneys fail, how long could you live for without going on dialysis?

Your kidneys are what filters toxins out of the blood. It depends on how severe you kidney failure is, if you have absolutely no functional activity then it will take about a week or two. In that week or two you will have confusion, coma and then death. I think dialysis would be a way to go.

The renal system filters out the toxins in your blood stream very similarly to your liver. Without the filter your body builds up the a toxicity that is fatal within a couple days.

I was given 7 - 10 days. Can't have haemodialysis because of my heart so had to go on APD. 12 hours a day. But I feel great.

you couldn't. your body would poison itself cause you would not beable to get rid of the toxins in your body.
