My mom just had a stroke and is making a good recovery. I don't live at home.

There is a danger it may happen again.

What's the best way of dealing with the fact she lives alone?

I have been thinking that organized activities are one way...phone calls another. What else?

I had a blood test done and was told by the DR that I have a pretty low level of B12. I was given a prescription supplement to fix this but was wondering if there is anything else I should be aware of. Thx!

I have a rare immune disorder called cyclic neutropenia (it's genetic and not contagious) where a particular sort of blood cell (neutrophil) just doesn't get made. Also the occasional bout of anemia goes with it. Anyone know of anything that can boost white cell production?

I had lab tests for celiac disease 3 years ago. My GI doc said I don't have it. But the IGG antibody test was 22, which is "weak positive," though the tTGA-IGA and Gliadin IGA were normal. I tried a gluten-free diet for several weeks, which was a pain in the neck and didn't make me feel better (if I recall correctly), so I abandoned it, especially since my doc was sure I don't have it. Well, I'm tired of the diarrhea and abdominal pain, and now I'm underweight and keep losing weight. Should I get retested?

Ok; so I smoke New Ports & I have been for about 2 years now; well all my friends said that they ended up coughing up blood so they stopped; I never have until tonight while I was in the shower. Gross I know, at first I was like well it's probably nothing but then it happened again; it was really gross. Does anyone know if this is just because of the type of cigeratte ? My friend John is freaked out; he things he has lung cancer which I seriuosly doubt; he thinks he has ever disease known to man when the symptoms come up haha . But yeah - if anyone has any information it would be great :]

Does this mean she is ready to die, She is in bed and really can't get out, she can't walk or see anymore and hardly eats at all. We are lucky to get 6 ozs of fluids in her and a few droppers of baby cereal into her. I guess I want to know how long before she dies it is very hard taking care of her like this even with help.

Purely hypothetical - just wondering how many people would do this and at what price. It's worth considering that the majority of people who are donors live long healthy lives. There are generally no long term ill effects.

So over the weekend I encountered a tick. It was lodged under my right arm and I needed help getting it out b/c it was stuck in there pretty good. So on Monday and Today, my whole body is aching a lot. When I walk up and down the stairs my knees hurt and the right side of my stomach hurts a lot, even more if I cough or sneeze. Once a while I get a headache. It looks like a tiny ring is starting to form where the bite mark is. So I went to my DR and he looked at it and said "no, you don't have lyme disease, if you did the ring would be about 2 or 3 inches big." But what I don't get it is, I have some of the symptoms, so how is it not lyme? Can anyone tell me or give me some advice?

Every now and then I start yawning again and again, and I can't stop. I feel like I need more oxygen to stop yawning, so I breath much faster than usual. Sometimes when I'm breathing faster I feel like I'm getting enough air, and sometimes I don't. This happened to me today, and after a while I got lightheaded, and my vision got cloudy, but then suddenly it stopped, and I could breath normally again. This happens every now and then but I don't usually feel light headed, and it always stops suddenly. What could it be?

I suffer from canker sore quite often (at least once every other months) and for as long as I can remember. From my personal experience, canker sores heal by absorbing tons of water – I drink twice as much and don’t go to bathroom as often. I don’t know where all the water went. Does anybody have similar experience or know any scientific support
