Hi Traci, I've had migraines since I was about 10 also. I'm now 30. I've found that preventive meds help me. I am currently taking a beta-blocker which is used for people with high blood pressure but it also helps in the prevention of migraines. It's generic name is called Propanolol Er, the name brand is Inderal LA. I've looked it up and it says the therapeutic dose (or the how much it usually takes for it to help or work) is over 200mg. I take 160mg and it seems to work so you'll have to see what dosage works for you. Also, you say you have epilepsy. Do you take anything for it? Because there is also a seizure med that is used to treat migraines also. I can't remember the name of it but your doctor should know if you ask him/her. Finally, I take Imitrex for when I am suffering a migraine attack. It seems to work pretty well most of the time. I take the injections though because the pills take to long to digest and get through my system and I end up throwing up. If you don't want to take an injection though they do also have a nasal spray that works pretty fast. I hope this has been of some help to you and hope you can find something that works! Trust me, I know how you feel.

Lots of things trigger migraines (hormones, bright lights, loud noises, certain foods or drinks) so it's really hard to say what you should do to avoid them at work. Do you sit in front of a computer all day under fluorescent lights? That might be a part of it.
There are anti-migraine medications, but if you're already taking anti-seizure meds, that's something only your doctor can advise you on.
Good luck from a fellow migraine sufferer.

My migranes were never to that extent but I do have a proceduree that works for me. At the inception of the migrane, sit down & relax as best you can. Let your head tip back and with your index finger squeeze as hard as you can on the webbing between your thumb & index finger of your other hand & imagine the pain floeing out of your head. You must squeeze very hard. Try it, you'll be amazed
