I suffer from canker sore quite often (at least once every other months) and for as long as I can remember. From my personal experience, canker sores heal by absorbing tons of water – I drink twice as much and don’t go to bathroom as often. I don’t know where all the water went. Does anybody have similar experience or know any scientific support

This has nothing to do with your water issue but....I'm not sure if you have asked your dentist about your canker sore problem or not...But I used to get canker sores quite often and they could be as big as quarters at times and very painful. There is a certain acid that the dentist has that they can put on it....it burns really bad for a second but it cauterizes it and makes it as if a new layer of skin is on it....and is gone then in one to two days....Also there is a liquid you can by OTC called Kank-A and that will numb it and put a thin layer of protection over it also....it works really well. Other than that, canker sores come from the acid in your stomach...so you can try taking antacids to helps also. I take acidophilus once a day to protect myself from getting canker sores and it seems to help....I only get them about once or twice a year now....Hope that helps!

Flying Bear: Canker sores are a form of herpes and live, If for a better word, along the nerves. When irritated they become infected. They do have to go through several planes of healing all taking about three weeks. It can be prolonged by irritation like chewing on them, picking on them, etc. Leave them alone, use Carmex, Lip Balm of some type preferably a medicated type. They will heal naturally. Why you think they're dehydrating your body? I don't know, but there's no scientific evidence that show's this.
As for the eliminating your bladder, drinking all that water and not going? I would say you have a problem, something like an infected bladder. You should see your doctor about all of this.

Salt water solutions can help, but as far as drinking a lot of water and not relieving yourself, that sounds like something you might want to talk to your Dr. about depending on your age. Retaining water could be a serious symtom.
