Are any illnesses that are caused by a virus known to be curable by medical treatment? Or can medicine only treat the symptoms of a viral illness?

I have a cup in my bathroom that I use for washing my mouth out at night and I was wondering that if I kept it facing down (that is, the top touching the sink) if it would allow less bacteria to grow inside. I wash it throughly every five days, but which one will be better for a bacteria-free environment, cup normal or cup upside down?

2 nights ago I threw up all my food just before I went to bed. I think it's because the weather was getting warm and I ate too much. That night I had hot flashes during sleep. The next day I felt tired and today, I still feel a bit tired. My concern is that just before I took a nap today, I threw up again. It's like whenever I try to lay down, I feel sick in the stomach.

My symptoms;
- Chills
- Fatigue
- Headache - (the kind where you move your eyes, and your head hurts)
- Vomitting whenever I try to sleep

My husband came home from work today with stomach pain, all over body aches, and a little bit of a fever. Now, its later in the day, his fever is higher (about 101) and he's been throwing up. Should I take him to the ER if his fever gets over 103?

Hello,

About 2.5 years ago I was moving a colony of Little Brown Myotis bats off the side of the house where they had chosen to roost. In the process I received a small bite from one before he flew off. I thought nothing of it at the time and after reading the average incubation time for Rabies is 30-90 days, I figured I was in the clear. I then recently read somewhere that incubation make take several years and have since been gripped with panic. Does anyone know how likely this is to occur 2.5 years after the initial incident and if these were these single, isolated, atypical cases out of thousands? I am sure I am past the point that PEP would be of any assistance. This has me so gripped it is hard for me to function with the thought of a possible sudden onset, stealing my life and taking me away from my family. What is the liklihood that I could be harboring the disease after all this time? Are chances greater that I am worrying without just cause? Thank you in advance.
