Most people, at the beginning of the disease, have fever, sweats, chills, headaches, malaise, muscles aches, nausea and vomiting. Malaria can very rapidly become a severe and life-threatening disease. The surest way for you and your health-care provider to know whether you have malaria is to have a diagnostic test where a drop of your blood is examined under the microscope for the presence of malaria parasites. If you are sick and there is any suspicion of malaria (for example, if you have recently traveled in a malaria-risk area) the test should be performed without delay.

If you have high fever associated with rigour and chill, you can think of the following common diseases .....
1) Viral Pyrexia (fever).
2) Malarial Pyrexia.
3) Enteric Pyrexia.(Typhoid fever).
4) Filarial Pyrexia)
A simple blood test can differentiate these conditions. A peripheral blood smear might demonstrate Malaria parasites/micro falaria in the blood. But many a times this test proves negative even though the parasitic infection is there in the body. A much more confirmatory kit test (Optimal test for malaria) can tell us whether the infection is malarial and what type of Malaria parasite has infected( Plasmodium Vivax, Plasmodium Falciparum or Ovale).

If you experience any flu-like symptoms within a year of being in an area which might have malaria, you should visit your doctor as an emergency. Malaria is a killer, and you shouldn't take any risks.

First of all if you having temperature, chill sweat lack or appetite etc then get your blood screened for parasite which causes malaria, as malaria can be fatal and causes organ failure in some cases so get investigated as soon as possible and better to see a medical practitioner.
