Did your doctor culture your wounds? There is an increase in Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) infections. You may need to add another oral antibiotic to clear up the infection. Please check back with your doctor, even if it is not MRSA, you may have to have the lesions cleaned by a process called debridement. This removes any dead tissue from the wounds, and will promote healing.

Also, the surgeon who did my debridement, recommended Johnson & Johnson's Advanced Care dressings. They cost more, but you leave them on for three to five days. Clean the wound well, put your topical antibiotic on and then put on the dressing.

soak the spots in hot soapy water to draw out the infection, by some steri strips or sterile gauze, maybe a hospital can give you some for free.. apply your salve to the steri strip and then apply to the wounds..

Make sure that you dont use the same towel, wash towels and clothes and anything else that comes in contact with the infected area..

did you get a positive staff result from your doctor? It could have turned into MRS or you may have another infection attracting staff. Staff naturally lives on our skin, it only festers in open wounds. Any other strange symptoms?
