I am looking for more skin friendly products to use to remove adhesives from insulin pump infusion sets and adhesive medical tapes. I have heard the Avon's Skin-So-Soft works well but I don't like the smell. I'm trying to stay away from anything too chemically.

After a few events recently, I've been wondering if I could have diabetes. Well, I've always drunk a lot [as in fluids, not alcohol!], which I've been told by my doctor that it's good that I drink a lot but I don't think he ran any diabetes tests. But for a little while now, I've started to feel a bit weak/faint after I've eaten a meal and not had a dessert afterwards. I went out for a meal about an hour ago and I didn't have a desert, I came home about half an hour ago and I started to feel a bit like this - it's difficult to describe the feeling, just kind of weak and may be a little dizzy. Anyway, so I went and got a caramel shortcake from the cupboard and I've started to feel a bit better, but not totally. It only happens occasionally, but it's still something. Are these definite symptoms of diabetes or does it happen to most people quite a lot?
As far as I know, there are no other cases of diabetes in the family. I have a good realtionship with my Mum but it...

My sister has diabetes. She took my blood sugar today and it was 111. The only thing i had eaten before was a muffin and that was an hour and a half ago. But i read somewhere that you are more likely to develop diabetes if you have a sibling who has it. My sister has type 1 diabetes.

Can a kid with early Type 1, who is still making insulin, have some days with normal BG readings and some days that are like over 200? How big a part is the activity level? My kid is extremely active most of the time. How much do the BG readings flucuate if they still have some insulin?
I know that most don't catch this thing until it has already destroyed all or most of the beta cells, but how many of you caught it a little earlier? I need all of the info I can get and about all websites are for those diagnosed.

My husband has been on oral meds for about 3 months- and his levels have been good until just a couple of days ago. He had a great reading of 95 before dinner on sat. And since sunday morning when he has checked it , it has not been lower that 187. Nothing different in his diet.

Hi, I'm 26 weeks (Or 28, the baby is 26 weeks gestation) pregnant. My pee has been tested twice for sugar in the urine, and came back fine, but yesterday I did the 1 hour glucose test, and received a call back telling me my levels were elevated and would need to come and do the 3 hour test at my earliest convienience. They didn't tell me what the numbers were. I've been reading about gestational diabetes and it scares me, especially since 40% (!) of people diagnosed with it go on to develop type 2 diabetes. But, I don't understand why there's no extra sugar in my pee, but this last drink-the-orange-pop-test came back abnomal/elevated. Thanks for the help :)
