I'm going to go against the grain here and say that milk is for baby cows and not for people at all. There's strong evidence that milk MAY BE A CONTRIBUTING CAUSE of diabetes. If any of you doubt this, then you might want to research it for yourself:

I don't make this stuff up. I do the research so that you don't have to.

I drink 2% and sometimes skim. Hate skim milk, almost like drinking colored water. Just count the carbs that is listed for a serving. A diabetic can have most anything but be aware of carbs and calories.

Any milk is fine for people with diabetes.
Higher fat contents will never raise your sugar since fat has no effect on blood sugar except to slow the absorbency of carbs.
If you are the one with diabetes, please educate yourself. You have a lot to learn.
I know it's scary and requires a lot of work but you have to start somewhere.
Good luck.

The sugar of the milk is lactose. Unless you have any problem with lactose itself, you can drink whole milk, skimmed milk, or any kind. No problem with your diabetes.

Try "Hood Carb Countdown Dairy Beverage." It has reduced sugars, and comes in plain and chocolate milk flavors. It's good!
