I am sleepy all the time. I sleep from about 3 in the morning to 2 i the afternoon. Then find myself fighting sleep again around 6 so I take another nap and wake up again at around 9. Then start all over again. I often see black dots floating around and then they dissapear. I am thirsty all the time and always want milk. I crave milk all the time. I urinate alot. When I dont eat my hands start to shake probably from low blood sugar though. I either loose weight or it stays the same no matter how much I eat. I have been loosing a lot of weight recently though for no reason. I have told my parents I think I might have it for a long time but they say i'm just being silly. Now that I am 18 I dont need their permission to go to the doctor. I think I might really go to the hospital. I have frequent headaches. I can remember one time I had a headache so bad I wanted to cry. I couldnt move couldnt walk or nothing. My grandma also had the disease. I also have bad chest pain.

I'm a new diabetic and my blood levels were really good and then they sort of spiked up and my doctor prescribed Glipizide 5 mg and Metformin Hcl Tab 500 Mg. I was just wondering if it is safe to take together? Just want to make sure my blood sugar dosen't drop too low.

Early am, while getting ready for work, he suddely fainted, and was out of it for a couple of minutes. Afterwards he was weak and had a shortness of breath. Should he see a doctor, or is this something that will pass? My friend has diabetes (meds and diet only, no insulin) but is healthy other wise.

There is this boy in Kenya, suffering from diabetes. He is an orphan. I have been paying his school fees, and buying his drugs. I am now burnt out. Does anybody know an organization that can help? I don't want to see this boy die so young.

I have a 5 year old blood glucose monitor & just got a brand new one a few days ago. What can I do with my old one? It still works good & I really don't want to throw it away. Can I donate it somewhere? Can it be sent back to the manufacturer for recycling or donation?

I never had diabetes in my life but I am worried that I might develop diabetes because I eat enormous amounts of fruit every day, especially before going to bed. For example, eating 10 apples a day is not unusual for me. Should I be worried? If yes, how should I change my eating habits? I am in my 40's, 5' 8", 145 lbs.
