Well their blood sugar would sky rocket and go ito DKA (diabetic ketacidosis) . A type 1 doesn't produce insulin and insulin is needed for survival so basical you can't live with out insulin . This is why a type 1 requires so many shots a day or better yet a pump. So the always have insulin in their system.

If such a person stopped using insulin all together they would die sooner or later although it is not possible to state precisely when and their quality of life until then would be poor at best. If such a person takes their insulin only intermittently they will not feel as well nor will they be as productive and they will periodically experience avoidable illnesses and problems and sooner or later would likely end up in the hospital. The likelihood of specific problems such as diabetic ketoacidosis is very difficult to predict. and I have seen patients walking around with gluocse levels which I thought should have resulted in a hospital stay and I have admitted patients to the hospital with glucose levels which they had previously tolerated.

Your blood sugar level would rise and you would eventually go into a diabetic coma and die. Without insulin your blood sugar level rises causing ketoacidosis. The insulin regulates your blood sugar levels and brings your blood sugar level down. It is absolutely essential, if you are insulin dependent, that you take your insulin on a daily basis and that you monitor your blood sugar levels throughout the day.

It depends. If you don't eat anything, you will last a little longer, but eventually you will be toast. Here's how it unfolds:
1) Since you cannot burn food for energy, even if you eat it, your body will begin to eat itself. It will start with fat, so if you already have a few pounds on you, you may last even longer. However, you will begin to lose weight rapidly, and be pissing and craving liquids constantly.
2) Burning fat (and eventually muscle) directly puts toxic chemicals into your system, this process is known as ketoacidosis. The toxicity will make you very weak and sick.
3) Your kidneys will hurt from being overworked. You will also get severe abdominal cramps.
4) You will get dizzy and incoherent from all the toxins in you.
5) You will be asked if you have all your affairs in order and attempt to sign your will.
6) Adios.

People with Type I diabetes are dependent on their insulin. If they don't get it, they risk developing diabetic ketoacidosis, which is a life-threatening condition.
People in DKA get dehydrated, hyperglycemic (too high blood sugar) and have many metabolic abnormalities. Without treatment, DKA is 100% fatal; with treatment, it is 2% fatal.

They would go into diabetic ketacidosis (DKA). DKA is fatal when not treated. The person's blood sugar would keep raising (since their body can't produce enough insulin to bring it down) and they would slip into a DKA coma and die. Look up DKA on the internet for more information.
