i have had the same problem, and per my doctor, it is between 120-125, anything above that is borderline diabetes. Mine averages about 124, which is high normal, but check the diabetes websites for a more accurate prognosis. I kept having blood taken right after drinking a 20oz bottle of OJ and my levels were in the 130's, so my doctor THOUGHT that I was borderline diabetic. I fasted the next 3 times and I was normal, but she (my doctor) STILl said to watch my sugar intake (sodas, carbs, breads, etc) and under no circumstances give blood after drinking OJ!
good luck and good health to you!

Blood glucose test measures the amount of a type of sugar, called glucose, in your blood. Results are usually available within 1 to 2 hours.
=> Fasting blood glucose: 70–99 milligrams per deciliter or less than 5.5 mmol/L
=> 2 hours after eating (postprandial): 70–145 mg/dL (less than 7.9 mmol/L)
=> Random (casual): 70–125 mg/dL (less than 7.0 mmol/L)
Normal results may vary from lab to lab. Many conditions can change your blood glucose levels. Your health professional will discuss any significant abnormal results with you in relation to your symptoms and medical history.

A normally functioning pancreas (sp?) keeps the blood glucose level at 100 mg/dl.... I am a diabetic and this is what I've been told NORMAL is (regardless of age).
Hope all is well for you

Over 30 yrs. my Dr. said to always keep my daily sugars between 80 & 120.....hbc should never be above 7....as your hbc rises higher thats when you are in gave danger of complications as in eye sight, heart, kidney & many others. So eat the right carbs & watch your fat intake as well as sugars! Exercise is the KEY to keeping your levels lower! Best of Luck to you!
