Did you have your thyroid checked? Thyroid condition is another condition that can cause miscarriages. Do you have any coagulopathy, such as Antiphospholipid syndrome that can cause frequent miscarriages. Did ypu have a thorough check by a obstetrician regarding the condition of your uterus, any deformity, or your hormone levels? Is your husband sperm and your ovum vcompatible with each other and not allergic?
Unless these conditions are checked, taking Metformin is useless. I am under the presumption that you are not diabetic and you are using these for fertility, is that right?
You have to ask your doctor why you are being prescribed Metformin. Is it for diabetes or for fertility?
Good luck

metformin improves fertility in women with policystic ovary syndrome. for the same purpose some doctors recommend rosi- or pioglitazone.
But it's important that the drug to be used ONLY until the pregnancy is diagnosed (the sooner the better)
good luck

miscarriage can be common in people with uncontrolled diabetes. of course continue taking the meds you are on, but please make sure that your blood sugars are in control...high blood sugar can not only cause miscarriages, but also, birth defects, heart defects, premature birth, large babies, and a number of other problems. i am type 1 diabetic, and was told by my doctor to not even consider getting pregnant until my diabetes was under good control...then it must be maintained throughout the pregnancy to insure a healthy mother and baby. blood sugars and diet should be strictly monitored for the whole 9 months..the mother can suffer irriversible side effects too, including kidney failure, blindness...not trying to scare you, but u need to be aware of what can happen...good luck
