Question Details: I like painting with acrylics, but the last couple of times I've tried the fumes have made me cough a lot and made my throat feel weird. I used to paint in my parent's kitchen. I now live in a room which is a lot smaller. Do I need to open a window or switch to another medium (gouache or something)

I know that with an allergy your body releases histimine because the food product you ate is considered a 'foreign' or 'bad' product. (Histimine 1 deals with above the neck, histimine 2 deals with the stomach releasing excess acid)... With food intollerance, what kind of symptoms/signs do you have? Is it just having gas problems?

My nose is running and I cant stop sneezing. I have a sinus infection too! I went swimming for an hour yesterday night after working out in the weight room at my school. I got in the pool and felt fine. About ten minutes after I got out and dressed, I had a stuffy nose but I didi't think about it. I woke up this monrning with a clogged nose and my throat hurts really bad. Before this I was perfectly healthy, and it started immediately after swimming. Could I be allergic to the chlorine in the pool?

Please help. I feel like crap.

I'm suffering like I usually do in the middle of summer. I usually start getting the symptoms in May so this is quite early for me. Is the pollen count high across the UK right now?

My allergies are acting up again. I'm congested and my eyes water. I don't get the itchyness that some people get with allergies. Claritin doesn't work. 12 hour nose spray helps slightly but not really, actifed doesn't work and Flonase doesn't work. What can I do? Someone help me!

My male friend says he's allergic to chicken. Something I have never heard of....Left me puzzled and hemmed and hawwed over it.

He was once very sick from eating chicken, which I strongly believed it wasn't throughly cooked back home in India.

One day, his friends were worried for his well-being during the 'flu season' should he get sick. How was he supposed to know whether the flu shot will help him.

Well, a week later he went in, for some reason, he receieved his flu shot, and never had a reaction.

Curiousity got the better of me, wondering if any of you folks been down this path? Was it bad chicken or ????

Can you show me some sites where I could print it and show to him for more proof!

I am currently relocating and moving in with a room mate, and the room I am moving into is where his 2 cats were hanging out in. Since my son is moving with me and he and I will be sleeping in the same room, and he has a sensitive allergy to cats, how to help get rid of the cat's dander. I know vaccuming will help, and dusting...but what if I get the carpets shampooed. Can someone please help me please! I don't want my child to suffer. Also are there paticular things I should look for. Fleas, and such. I know they are indoor cats.

Thanks in advance!

I've had hives for about 5 days now, and last night I went to the ER. The doctors told me to take Prednisone (sp?), Prilosec or Zantac (H-2 Blocker), and Benadryl (H-1 Blocker). I started taking them last night, and my hives have gotten WORSE. They're horribly painful as well, and I have no idea what the cause of them is. Anyone with any suggestions on what to do for both the hives themselves (they're on my face as well as the rest of my body, front and back), and if there's anything I can take for the pain that's not going to react with all the other medications, please tell me! At this point I'm pretty sick of them and none of the doctors will call me back. Thanks. :(

I have really bad allergies, every year they just get worse, my doctors have tried all different types of meds, and even nosesprays, but all i get from the sprays are really bad bloody noses. The only thing that has really helped has been the slightly more powerful decongestant i've been put on but that doesn't help with any of the other symptoms. Any suggestions? I'm just so tired of feel like crud all the time...

Does nasal irrigation work to help prevent sinus headaches and other allergy symptoms? I have found good instructions on performing it, but frankly, I am little bit nervous about putting liquid down the back of my throat until I know how effective it is.

I've never had allergies in my life. Than all of the sudden this morning I have a runny nose (just the right side though!), sneezing, and my sinuses fill like they are clogged. Its strange I can fill like a cold coming on usually and this hit me over night. Do I have allergies? If so why would it hit overnight?? Any ideas? Medications?
