I told my mom I was just so I wouldn't have to eat it and she bought it. But I was just wondering if it is even possible.

yes it is possible to be allergic to cauliflower. it is possible to be allergic to all foods. I met a woman that was allergic to so much food that it was hard for her to find a variety to eat. she couldn't even go out to eat. and your mom is probably thinking nice try. lol.

This is going to sound weird but I am not allergic to cauliflower but I get a reaction every time I eat it raw. Do you have plant allergies? I was told that most of my food allergies occur just because I am so allergic to plants. The biggest example I have is apples and Birch trees. There is an enzyme in apples that so closely resembles in structure the pollen of a birch tree that my body mistakes it for birch and I am deathly allergic to birch so if I eat a raw apple my throat swells and closes my airways... it gets worse every time I eat it... I also have cauliflower "allergies," but I don't know what the corresponding real allergy is... but if you think you have what I am talking about (maybe not to the extent) I say you should avoid raw cauliflower at all cost as it will probably get worse everytime

by the way, usually the enzyme that you are "allergic" to is cooked out :)

oops... i missed the pretending part! well you can still explain that to your mom! :)

You can definitely claim you had an allergic reaction to it once. Anxiety can often make your skin flush like you have a rash. Work with that if anyone ever challenges you about your allergy. Don't forget to get that terrified look on your face and convulse a little bit when it is presented to you. Running to the bathroom works well, too.

My cousin is allergic to broccoli (his throat swells, making breathing difficult and he breaks out in hives) so, I would assume it is possible since it is a cruciferous vegetable, as well.

I am wondering why you just didn't tell your mom that you don't like the stuff. You know, by telling a lie about it, you'll just have to tell more lies later on.

Honestly. Given the chance, he would eat live mice, grass and stuff out of your bin. And you're concerned about a bit of cauliflower? Never mind his stomach, why don't you get your head seen to?
