My allergies are acting up again. I'm congested and my eyes water. I don't get the itchyness that some people get with allergies. Claritin doesn't work. 12 hour nose spray helps slightly but not really, actifed doesn't work and Flonase doesn't work. What can I do? Someone help me!

I'm in the same boat is you. Zyrtec at night Astelin decongestant nose spray at night and first thing in the morning. Nasonex at night. This spray has steroids in it.
Flonase went in the trash long ago.No help at all.
I was tested for allergies in January. Allergic to trees, grass. cat and dog dander. I'm presently having shots every week.
My biggest gripe is nasal drainage in the back of my throat and (this is gross) I needed to spit lungers out doors.
My nasal passages close at night making my CPAP device pretty much worthless. I'll die before anyone takes our two beautiful black cats, our Miniature Pincher and an old Beagle / German Shepard mix.
I guess all of of us will need to try Arizona.

Make an apt. w/ an allergist...talk to him/her about allergy shots...insurance covers them and you will eventually not need any meds. He/she can give you prescription allergy meds.....maybe you need a step down prednisone pack to get things settled down. Best to go in before it winds up a sinus or ear infection. Good Luck!! Pollen is SO high right now.
