I grew up on fish, I loved it but 2 years ago it all went wrong. I ate a bit of cod and about 2 hrs later I started getting severe cramps, this then progressed to diahorrea, then vomiting. I've had fish several times since and the exact same result. We were round at mums tonight for tea, I told her about the fish as she was making fish for tea she said I was full of it. But low and behold 2hrs later and the cramps have started.

Is there a cure for this? And how come I never had any problem with fish in the past, I've tried Cod,Whitting,Tuna and Salmon, the only one that doesn't make me sick is tuna,

My child actually ate half of a roasted cashew and had similar allergic reaction to peanuts. I also read today that cashew have a greater allergic affect than peanuts.

I have had a fatal allergy to all types of nuts since i was six years old & if i eat one i could possibly die. I have read in a magazine about a girl like me with a peanut allergy that kissed her boyfriend and died because traces of it was still in his mouth. I NEVER KISSED A BOY BEFORE & I'M 15! Should i be afraid of the consequences of kissing a boy because of this? And what should i do to get over my fear of kissing for this reason?

I am allergic to: dust mite, all kind of dust, feathers, fur of cats, dogs and sheep, demodex mite, fish food (dried), fescue (have never seen it in my life), goose-foot, timothy-grass, couch-grass, wormwood, Indian corn and hogweed.
We yet didn't do bacterial and fungi tests, but it's already seems like to everything! How can one survive this? It is not possible to take that many precautions!

I have an appointment with an Allergist in a few days to try to get a handle on my crazy allergies. I never realized how bad they could actually be since I had to stop taking medication for them so the doctor could do testing on Monday. I don't want to gross anyone out, but I feel like I'm drowning from all the post nasal drainage.

I've heard a little about allergy testing, something involving pricking the skin and all that good stuff. What I want to know is what exactly will he be testing for? Specifically? I've had miserable allergies just like my father since I as a little girl (24 now) and I REALLY want to make sure he tests for everything to make sure I have the best shot at living a normal. I can't remember the last time I breathed through my nose at night... thinking never. Thanks.

Is it an allergy or intolerance?
Symptoms include nausea, and just feeling downright sick; the next day. Not while the firecrackers are going off, but the following day.

i've always had allergies with ragweed, hayfever, etc. when i was fifteen i suddenly became allergic to watermelon, which i love and have eaten my whole life! now i'm 18 and can't eat watermelon, cantelope, pineapple, oranges, honeydew, or cucumbers. it makes me feel like there is something stuck in my throat, and sometimes i completely lose my voice! since i kind of "grew in" to these allergies, could there be a chance that i could grow out of them?

also, my dad developed allergies like these when he was fifteen, starting with watermelon. except he is allergic to bananas too. should i expect to stay allergic to these foods because he did?

my dilemma is that i have a tendency to itch my nose in all types of weather, sometimes it gets really bad whereas other times its on and off. i dont think it is hayfever but im not sure. i dont want to get a nose spray or tablets to help it because its not something that is ongoing, it just comes up when it feels like it. I dont think it has anything to do with the food, but maybe pollen and other such things. is there any chance of having this itch go away or should i just try and see what i can do to reduce it from happening?

I think I have hayfever. For the last 2 weeks or so I've been waking up really exhausted even though I'm getting the normal amount of sleep I normally have. It's a real struggle getting out of bed. My eyes are puffy & swollen every morning. I think when this happened to me a few years ago, I was given antihistamine... Any suggestions/advice please?

My 3 year old never had a mosquito bite until about 2 months ago, when she got one on her upper arm. I didn't think much of it and when she woke up the next morning it was the size of a quarter. I thought it was pretty big, but by the time I picked her up from daycare, it was about the size of a golf ball and really hot to the touch. I took her to the dr, who put her on antibiotics. Well she came home from daycare yesterday with many mosquito bites (after using repellent with deet 2x within the afternoon)and they are all swelling up again. Do you think she is allergic? Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions. They aren't swollen as bad as last time, but I am hoping I can figure something out before they get that bad.

I am allergic to cats but I love them more than any other pet. We couldn't have a cat at our house because it affected my mom more than it affected me.
I am about to move out and get a place on my own. I feel the need to get a cat to keep me company and I miss having one so much.
I plan on getting shots to stop me from being allergic, the question is- how long do shots take? If the allergic reaction isn't THAT bad around cats, would it just be okay to own one while I am getting the shots?
Please let me know!

We just got a pomeranian (about 2 weeks ago) and it turns out the family member who stays home all day and exposed to the dog the most is allergic. She has developed itching all over her body with watery eyes. We did have another dog that was similar in hair texture about 4 years ago. Is it actually possible to not be allergic and then suddenly be? We've checked her for fleas already.

Thanks
