Well, school, church, and work may help. But a better way is the internet. On a site you can put down exactly what you are looking for and put down your characteristics. Then you try to match up. Have to be careful, but there are real people there looking for a real relationship too. Of course, why are you worth as a potential mate? Are you educated, have a decent job, groom yourself, keep your weight down, and are basically a worthwhile mate?
Also, be realistic in what you are looking for. If you are real picky, then it will be harder to find someone. Don't go for fantasy, find a real person you match up with.

I know a lot of people seem to be "falling in love online"
but it is just not natural!!
Studies show that women are attracted to men according to the man's genes/chemical makeup (by way of smell) and choose the man whose DNA most resembles their own.
(Like a built in breeding screening, I guess...)
My point is
just get out there and look!
Talk to people you'd never think of dating - maybe they have a sister or friend.
Look around somewhere where you are comfortable and try to find a woman who's interested in the things you are interested in.
Of course they say, "As soon as you stop looking, you'll find someone"
but I know that doesn't help!
