My nephew (17 months) was just diagnosed w/an allergy to eggs. I'm crushed b/c I keep picturing all the kid things he'll be missing out on....like cookies, cake, spaghetti, mac-n-cheese, bread, PIZZA....the list could go on and on.
Are there any recipes that we could make some of these items from scratch w/out using eggs?

Below is the story of my eyes and what happened with them and what I've been doing to help them up until now:

I first noticed it last Saturday (July 28). I woke up with two small wrinkles underneath my left eye, but both of them were itchy. I left for a swim championship, and my eyes continued to get itchier, now along with my face. On the way home from the meet, my mom suspected it was an allergic reaction, so we went to get Benadryl. (Note: I have never been allergic to anything or had an allergic reaction)

Throughtout the rest of the day, my eye started swelling and continued to itch. I went to bed, expecting it to be gone the next day.
When I woke up, (July 29) My whole eye was swollen shut! It was huge! Plus, my whole face and part of my neck had broken out in an ictchy rash. To add to matters, my right eye was begining to swell.
Please wait for the continuation of the story in Additional Deatails:

This is the first year my sons allergies have really bothered him. He was febrile the other night, it lasted only that day and he was fine the next day. Usually when he is "sick" with a fever it lasts longer than 12-24 hrs. Do you get a fever with your environmental allergies?

I was chugging a heinekin earlier tonight, and whilst doing this, my throat started to feel really wierd/closing up (but it wasn't), and then after i had chugged it, it felt like i had to burp/explode and i ran and puked in a toilet. Ive never been much of a beer drinker, but this is the first time thats ever happened, is it possible to be allergic to beer?

I am allergic to the most random things. Most of the foods just make my throat feel strange and my chest gets tight or itchy It often feels like something didn't go down all the way or like I need to burp, but the feeling is much more distinct and uncomfortable. Some of these foods are:

Cantaloupe (the worst)
Cucumbers
Baby snap peas in the pod
Lettuce and greens in general
Raw carrots
Bananas (tingly tongue/throat, swelling maybe...)
Tomatoes
Zucchinni

The strange thing is, it's not all the time. I had an organic granola bar and it triggered my chest reaction somehow, but I'm not allergic to nuts normally and it only had granola and cranberries in it other than that.

Basically I can't eat vegetables... how do I eat well like this?? What can I do to ease these reactions when they occur since I never know what will trigger it?

everytime i eat before i am done eating, i get really bad stomach aches and have to go to the bathroom. I have had my stomach checked out and they said it was perfect! I can have pizza at one restaurant and have to run to the bathroom after a slice and not have any problem at another. its really annoying to have to excuse myself to the bathroom everytime i eat. Do you think i have food allergies if they didn't find anything wrong with my stomach. (did a scope) does it hurt to get tested for allergies?

I'm currently 'testing' to see if I might be lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy. So I'm not eating any dairy for about 2 weeks. I talked to my doctor and she said this was okay. My question is, as far as flavor and texture, what is the differance between Soy milk, Rice milk and Lactose-free milk? If you can compare it to regular skim-milk that would be awesome. Thanks!

Hey peeps, whats good??

- Well heres my problem/Question:

I've recently learned (1 year ago) that i was allergic to some kind of sting; I would fully break out in hives, and would swell up to grotesque levels. .....pretty nasty stuff. (Strange thing is, I have been stung about 3 times prior to that incident, ans sustained nothing whatsoever).

I got stung today on the thumb like 2 or 3 times in one go by yellowjackets, and all that happened was a swelling of my hand and nothing else (am NOT complaining here).

My Question is - If im allergic, will i receive this severely nasty reaction EVERYTIME that I am stung, or is there a percentile?

any answers would be greatly appreciated.

The tightness sometimes feels constricted making me choke at times. I went to the doctor 5 times and they said it's allergies. Besides the tightness, I also have pink eyes (which seems to be improving), chest pain - sometimes below the armpit (usually in the middle of the night), and phlegm (more productive in the mornings). Also, I tend to be anxious a lot lately (rapid heartbeat). I have no cough or runny nose, have a good appetitle, and able to exercise with no problems. After two antibiotics, allergy pills and sleepless nights, I'm getting pretty tired of this. Hopefully someone can shed light on what this is or what I can do to feel comfortable. Your advice/knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently was very sick and my doctor recommended Mucinex D to help with the symptoms. While I was taking it, I also seemed to help with the stuffiness and cogestion related to my allergies and I felt very clear. I was just wondering if it would be safe to take this daily?

I have always suffered with headaches, gum itching and throat soreness after eating chocolate (so nice though!) and on one occassion after eating 8 creme eggs my throat started closing up and I had to go to hospital. It seems more the amount I eat which causes the reaction, or any type of galaxy which swells my throat up and makes it incredibly sore no matter how small a piece I eat. I have finally begun to accept the relationship between me and chocolate is not meant to be. I had a blood test to check for allergy and it came back 'borderline????'' and my doctor said I should avoid it. But I am confused and wondered why it is there does not appear to be a full blown allergy, but why it has the potential to react severely, but does not do it every time. I am totally confused
Does anyone have any knowledge of this sort of stuff??
