could very well be the air conditioner (cold air makes the nose run)- right now I am stuffed up on one side because it has been so still in this house-the air is on but being closed in due to the heat and humidity makes my nose freak too- either runs or gets stuffed on one side in the morning.

I suspect because you're allergic to dust and/or dander. Try running your pillows through a fluff cycle to beat the dust and dander out of them frequently, and getting hypo-allergenic covers for them.

When you wake up, is it freezing cold? If it is, that's probably why. Try getting warm ASAP when you wake up. It probably should help.
