That is not that uncommon of an allergy actually I have a friend who allergic to them. It makes his lips swell and tingle. Food allergies are very common they can be anything from melons to eggs. Becareful though becuase some allergies can actually be life threatening. As long as when you eat them you don't feel your throat closing up you are probably fine, but like you mentioned allergies do change as you get older and could possibly become either less evident or more life threatening.

What bedding textile do you employ? notwithstanding if it incredibly is sawdust or woodchips created from pine or cedar it incredibly is possibly that the bedding is the source of your problems. Pine or cedar additionally will reason respiration problems on your rats as they have very comfortable respiration structures. i exploit previous bits of clothing, sheets and tea towels shrink up into products as bedding for my rats. it works out to be much less high priced with the aid of fact they could all be washed and re-used (till they get to the point the place they're too holey!). it incredibly is extremely uncommon to be allergic to rats in the form you describe. Rats produce little or no dander (airborne dirt and dust) partly with the aid of fact they wash so generally and so thoroughly. Airborne-form hypersensitive reactions (the place the indicators are working itchy eyes, sneezing, respiration indications and so on) are generally with the aid of dander on and around the animal. Rat hypersensitive reactions are generally with the aid of proteins of their urine and consequence in raised itchy lumps the place their nails dig into your pores and skin, and, in extreme circumstances, an itchy rash the place something with truly of urine on has touched the floor. it incredibly is to no longer say you may't be allergic to him! in case you may properly be sure it incredibly is no longer the bedding itself inflicting problems, i could recommend you to maintain doing what you're doing: take an anti-histamine once you already know you're approximately to do some thing which will produce a reaction (sparkling him out / shelter him). additionally, keep an extensive eye to analyze your indications are actually not getting worse. An hypersensitivity which starts off as gentle can develop to be extreme (as i understand and been advised via medical doctors with the aid of my journey with latex). you may locate an anti-histamine cream useful for pores and skin reactions too (and you will use it in case you get a reaction even once you have these days taken an oral anti-histamine). i'm hoping you do locate that the reason being the bedding you employ and your subject is rectifiable. solid success.
