Nasonex is only available with a prescription so I am not sure you have seen the right product. Yes it works well but you need to see a doc to get it. If you have lots of allergies though why not start taking allergy shots from your allergist and get it under control? Once you see the allergist he can prescribe some meds that will help. There are lots of allergy meds he can try besides nasonex.

I cannot contact cooker upper. She is recommending local honey to everyone. Some people with hayfever can be quite allergic to local honey. I know it makes me very sick.
Nasonex or Beconase AQ work very well for me. However, it takes up to five days before they start working. Doctors recommend starting the nasal spray a week before hayfever season. I no longer need it. I had a nine year series of allergy desensitation shots and I have very little hayfever anymore. It even cured my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables.

My son had terrible allergies when he was younger and Nasonex helped him a lot. But you could also try a good over the counter nasal spray and eye drops to see if they work and save the $$. Hope you feel better!

it depends if your body responds to it. Nasonex is a major brand label . I use Nasonex , Astelin, and Zyrtec and I get allergy shots too. I agree that it is expensive here in the US and plus the doctor prescribes Nasonex. There are other brands that u can use such as Flonase, Beconase, and many others. Please consult the doctor and he/she can help you find the right nasal spray and even have a sample on hand. Also be careful when u use nasal sprays.

Here is a inexpensive and effective way to get rid of allergies. Take a teaspoon of LOCAL honey each day. This will help your body develop immunity to air born irritants in your area. Those nasal sprays are addictive-that is after a while, you can't breathe without them. They also dry up the mucus in your head and it collects there causing infection. You will need to clean it out or you will never breath well again. If you need to do this, use 2 tablespoons of salt in half a glass of warm water and inhale by teaspoon fulls into your nostrils. This will clean out up there and help fight infection. Please give this a try before you go buying expensive prescriptions that can cause damage to your body.

I have tried it and never liked it. I use Allegra D wich is a 12 hour pill and it works wounders. I don't always take it every single day and no matter what it works its not somthing that has to get in your system before it works. Also they have come out with a new 24 hour one and it works just as well.
