People with auto-immune related diseases are more prone to allergies, allergies can also be genetic so if one or more close relatives suffered from any type of allergy it increases the chances as well.Autoimmune related illnesses can induce hair loss, such a hashmitos thyroiditis,Addison's disease,PCOS,and others.
People with food allergies have reported hair loss if they use shampoos with allergens. Also people who have psoriasis or eczema of the scalp can experience hair thinning,it is also seen in people with atopic dermatitis.
Another cause of hair loss is vitamin and mineral deficiencies, many people who are allergic to multiple foods end up restricting their diet and do not get all the essential nutrients which can lead to shedding.
Many health professionals believe the hair is deeply affected by the immune system and since allergies are a hypo-immune state it is possible that the conditions that predispose you to allergies also can increase ur risks of hair thinning.

If you are taking meds. for allergies check the side effects to be sure that it is not a possible side effect. Allergies come out differently in everyone talk to your doctor before ruling it out as a cause for the hair loss.General disorders can play a role on every body part ,from your skin to your digestive system. Its amazing what we take for granted to find everything going on in our bodies stems back to one thing be it big or small.
