i have developed eczema/atopic dermititus within the last 6 months. this entire time i have been trying to figure out what has caused this after 28 years of my skin being normal. i have read to avoid sweating when you have eczema. do you think that excessive sweating could have actually caused eczema? i have been working out for a few years (mostly walking fast-pace on the treadmill) but in the last 9 months i have stepped up my work out and have been perspiring alot...i'm just so stumped as to what caused it and its so frustrating...

right under my right nostril i have this sorta hard bump that hurts. it is not visible at all, its not even red, but when i touch it with my finger i feel it. feels like i have a hard pea under my skin. my moms a nurse and she said she thinks its gonna be a pimple..i don't know. what is it? its been there since 10/31

Both my ears have been infected for months now. It hasnt improved but its in less pain then before. it feels like a swollen ball when i touch my second piercing. occasionally white fluid comes out. ive been using peroxide and piercing cleaners, earring cleaners etc but nothing has seem to make the piercing go away. please help?

I'm 26 years old... Physically I look fit.. but I don't eat healthy at all... I mostly eat out about 5 times a week...mostly mcdonalds... or taco bell.... and I also have a veeery bad temper... and I also worry way too much... Now with that said... It hasbeen a couple of years now that I don't check with a doctor for physicals and exams... But for a couple of yeqars now I have noticed a mild sharp pain on my chest... It would come and go... sometimes the pain would be right above my left breast and spread under my armpits... my neck... and I also have had mild pain on my left arm.... I could be confusing it with muscle pain from work... but what bothers me is the sharp chest pain I be experiencing.... Is it possible for a 26 year old to develope heart problems?... I'm worried but don't want to run into conclusions and look stupid at the doctors office... just yet... at first I thought it was from anxiety and stress... any opinions?... please help... thanks..

I have a keloid scar; it developed after my industrial piercing got a knock, and has now swelled hugely. Had to take piercing out, but still no smaller :( Has anybody had any luck with keloids? What did you do to treat them, i'm very nervous of it growing even more.

Currently applying hot salt washes and about to start with hydrocortisone cream.. I was told to avoid tea tree

I also plan to work any good answer into some kind of research.. there's not enough on the topic.. can I give u an email for the long story?

I have an undiagnosed stomach ailment which consists of frequent stomach cramps and diarrheah.
In my first session with a doctor he asked if I drink and I said I have about 2-3 beers a week. He asked if I get anxious speaking in front of people and I said 'who doesn't?' He then made a presumptious diagnosis of 'panic disorder' and alcohalism even though 2-3 beers a week is nothing. He prescribed anti-depressants which of course did nothing to help my stomach.
The next meeting I brought my father with me and the first thing the doctor asked was if I have the alcohal problem under control. Now my father thinks I have a drinking problem and my family gives this dubious look if I feel like having a beer.
I'm disgusted with this doc's incompotence and I want to know if him bringing that up is a breach of privacy. Isn't it like a woman telling a doctor in confidence that she is pregnant then the doctor asking the husband later, 'so did your wife tell you she was pregant yet?'

It started at the age of 16 after getting up from a sleeping position. I was able to make it back to the bed and prevent a blackout but now, I make my way to the bed to lie down and still blackout. It's this awful feeling in my upper abdomen like someone's sucking the life out of me with a vaccum cleaner. I was tested on the treadmill approx. 8yrs. ago and did great and then suddenly, right after I blacked out, I was told my blood pressure dropped very low (called syncope). The Cardiologist shrugged it off because my EKG was okay. Running the steps or just jumping rope makes my heart race and that awful feeling comes.

In the winter months when the weather is just starting to get really cold I break out in giant hives and I have pain all over like the flu. I was just wondering if this could possibly be fibromyalgia because it lasts the whole winter and being 35 the doctor said I am too young for arthritis. I also have the pains in the summer too for at least a month but mainly they are in the winter months. I also have a lot of other symptoms of fibromyalgia like I was diagnosed with TMJ and I wake up several times at night and get very little rest, my eyes are dry and just a lot of the other symptoms of fibromyalgia. How do I get the doctor to check for this? What kind of tests will he do?

I can't seem to get an answer about this test. The doc who ordered it will be out of town for a week.
The glucose was measured for a 3 hr GTT test. The fasting level was 84. At 1 hr it was 120. Then at 2 hrs it jumped to 188 and at 2 1/2 hrs it was 178 (both indicated as high on the test) the levels then went back down.
Is this indicative of pre-diabetes?

I have always been deathly allergic to cats. I was afraid to ever get one. Well, my husband and I finally gave in and got one. He's great and my allergies really aren't bad at all, but I do have one symptom that I just can't remedy. I have an itchy, runny nose constantly. It goes away as soon as I leave the apartment, and comes back as soon as I enter again. I have tried Claritin, Benadryl, Alavert, Allegra, nose spray, and tylenol cold and sinus, and advil cold and sinus. What will help me? I vaccum and use dander wipes on the cat, and also bathe the cat.

yesterday I was playing Halo 3 after I ate dinner, I was getting a bit aggravated and then I suddenly felt lightheaded, I felt a bit flushed, and the area around my diaphgram felt like it had a bit more pressure. I felt no pains in my shoulders or extremities, I did kinda feel like my heart beat was a bit faster. Had no difficulties breathing but shifting around different positions altered the way I felt. I've never felt hearburn before so I'm not sure if this is it. Does this seem liek heartburn, angina, or something else that I might be overlooking?
