My dad is ill, very ill. He's having liver failure. I just found this out today. At first i thought my mom said kidney .. so i started doing some research and decided to donate a kidney if i was able to.

When i talked to him i went ahead and told him i wanted to take a test to see if i was a good enough match.

Then he told me it was his liver, not kidney, and he would have to stay on the waiting list .. until someone passed away, bad car accident, ect.

Is this true or can i still, maybe, donate 1/2 of my liver?

Any info would be great!

I've had an eye twitch (spasm) for 3 months now. It happens randomly throughout the day (and even at night), and it happens anywhere from 5 seconds to five minutes. I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me that I needed more sleep, less stress, and less caffeine, but that there was no real cure. I can't stop the caffeine consumption or stress right now, because I have started commuting to grad school part time 2 nights a week and I have a full time job.

Can people with celiac disease use topical products that contain gluten, such as lotion? (I know most lotions and soaps do not contain gluten, but there are a few). Is it only that they cannot digest it?

I have been having these pains for quite some time now (at least 6 months). The pain starts in my chest and shoots to my spine then up through my jaw and ear. I am 24 and a heart attack seems slim. They did an EKG and an Echocardiogram and they both came back normal. If anyone knows what else it could possibly be, please let me know. I am at a loss.

I have very sensitive eyes that are dry.....they are ALWAYS red so I have to use Visine every single day....I have done this for years.....I know that isn't good for my eyes and they are probably already building a tolerance for the stuff, but they are so red that I can't stop using it. What could be wrong? What would help that wouldn't cause damage to my eyes?

Can a person with albinism be a professional bowler or do the vision issues will prevent them from bowling?

Can a person with albinism have enough vision to have a driver's license? For how long would this person be able to drive before his/her eyes get too tired?

I'm looking for serious answers please. Preferably from a person with albinism, an ophthalmologist, optometrist, or a person who has dealt with albinism in an indirect manner.

Thank you very much,

-JS

We took him for xrays and his doctor noticed a shaded area near the lungs that she said is probably his thymus gland, but it wasn't where it normally is. Now she has sent us to get ct scans. What might be wrong with him if it isn't asthma?
