It is goe now nut she gets sores in her mouth all the time. I googled STDs for her and there was something about a thick white vaginal discharge abd itching. She says she has that but thought that was normal and never thought anything of it. She is scared to tell her mom and I cant tell mine. What do you think it could be?

well, oral sex can transmit herpes, and while herpes is not fatal, it is contagious and it is for life. Itchy sore blisters are a sign of the disease and usually occur on the labia or the mouth. Any other std, is not likely as she has not had sex, and std does mean sexually transmitted disease. I would suggest that she ask her mom to make her an appointment with a doctor for a "regular checkup".

It is possible that she does have an STD, or if not that, a yeast infection. Yeast infections are very common (some people get it from taking anti-biotics or birth control pills), and it is accompanied by a creamy whitish discharge and a LOT of itching. Some people have milder itching, but most people have moderate to severe itching (that is also accompanied by a burning feeling). Also, a sign that something is possibly wrong is an unusual or foul odor. If she notices that it's not "normal" for her (as in, something's changed, doesn't smell or feel like usual), then it might be something that needs medical attention. And yes, it is possible to get STDs from oral sex too. The sores in her mouth could be several different things, including herpes, and warts. But the only way to know for sure if something is wrong is to go to a doctor. Try to locate a Planned Parenthood clinic in your area (look in phonebook or online). They have clinics in most states and everything there is confidential (you do not need parents' permission to be seen there). I urge your friend to go and get tested - if she really does have something, it could really do some damage if it goes untreated.

It sounds like she may have a yeast infection that can come from clothing , food and even stress BUT THAT'S IF SHE GETS THOSE SYMPTOMS you read about .BUT since i do STD training it could definitely be an STD.the soars could be herpes or just common soars that mean nothing .BUT studies show you can have an std a lot longer with out knowing it .SO PLEASE tell your friend to go to her doctor or her local plan parent hood and get checked out if you haven't already,by the way you are a good friend more people should feel as comfortable with the people in there lives.

Thrush...which is present in most women anyway and can just start up without having had sex...it is VERY uncomortable...it sounds like she is generally run down.
I am not a doctor though so I am only guessing...but thick white discharge and a rash on thighs is a sign of thrush....google THRUSH and see....you can get a remedy for it over the counter at the drugstore..(chemist)....or insert natural yoghurt..not the flavoured kind....on a tampon.....if she speaks to a pharmasist they will help her. As Bonnie says....a yeast infection...which is another name for thrush.

Yes, oral sex can still transmit certain STD's. If she has sores in her mouth there is a possibility she has herpes, but there are other STD's that can cause sores or blisters. I strongly recommend seeing a doctor. If you are to young to get there on your own, then tell parents.

You can get an STD or STI from oral sex..

she should go straight to the Doc's.. they are allowed to treat her confidentially (without telling her parents)
but she has to go where she is registered (her family doctor) if she goes anywhere else they wont see her. but dont worry because if her parents were to ask for her medical record then they wont get it.. its against the law for anyone else who isnt the Doc to see it.

if she does have an STI/D and she leaves it too long then she could become infertile.. which means that she WONT EVER be able to have kids.. this is because the infection or decease has attacked her ovaries and will leave her childless

normally when she goes to the Doc they might transfer her to a GUM clinic (which is normally in a hospital.. this is where they do their tests on you for sexual health.

sounds like a yeast infection and you cannot get a sexually transmitted disease without intercourse but herpes or cold sores can occur with oral sex but sounds like a yeast infection and there are many over the counter medications for it.

I don't think it's possible to get it like that, it has to actually reach the vagina. If her vagina came into contact with the other man's penis, then it's a possibility. If not, I doubt it.
