...educate themselves about HIV/AIDS more? Sorry to rant, but everybody seems to think that you can gets HIV just from kissing!

I'm a sanguinarian, which plainly means that I drink human (NEVER animal) blood from willing donors. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years. I educated myself and found out that--

--you can't get HIV from an infected person by drinking their blood unless you both have large, bleeding mouth wounds;
--kissing never gave anybody HIV;
--sex, transfusions, and dirty needles (and being born with HIV) are the only ways;
--HIV dies almost instantly with contact to open air;
and
--hugging, holding/shaking hands, etc. never gave anyone HIV.

*Yes we practice safety-- no unsterilized blades, and no one donates without blood tests (in case of other infectious diseases)*

So why can't people out there get real, get educated, and stop shying away from infected persons. Give an HIV positive person a hug, I'm sure it will make their day!

diagonised at 63 with lung cancer - acute..
included loss of weight and anaemia.
Scans in July 2006 and October 2006 show cancer - re-staging despite treatment with Chemo.
Was a smoker - but gave up approx 15yrs ago.. Also used to work with asbestos
In October 2006 - as shown in July 2006, there is asbestos related pleural disease in both lungs.
They are tumors in Right upper lobe, Retrocaval pretracheal node and left upper lobe - measuring a total of 12.1cm (this was in July 2006. In October 2006 they measured 13.3cm.. with the left upper lobe increasing from 3.7cm to 5cm

Also indication of small left pleural effusion that increased in size.

Difficultly in breathing as well as retaining of fluid in left lung according early 2007. Recent drainage took 800ml (feb 2007) and April 2007 was 450ml.

Can anyone assist in understanding of this condition - what outcome will be??

I have a wound, it is just a small dot but it is red all around it. It has this sharp intense pain and it wont go away until I pop it. When I do, it oozes out a whiteish/yellowish pus, then blood, then some kind of clear fluid (in that particualr order). Yes its very gross but i would like to know if anyone out there has had something like this or heared of anything like this.
I have gotten wounds like this before and went to the doctor but they told me it was just a boil and sent me home. I swear it is more than that because my boyfriend had them at the same time I did and doesn't get them any more but i just got a new one. We both think it could possibly be some form of bug bite, any ideas?

I just had a barium upper GI test and am waiting for results. I think they want to rule out Crohn's Disease, but what are some other diagnoses that this procedure can show?

My Colonic Biopsy Report for HPE for IBD reads as under:
Microscopic: Section shows irregularly scattered colonic glands lined by normal mucosal cells. The Lamina Propria is dense and shows scattered inflammatory cells with some prominent lymphoid follicles. Few focal areas of haemorrhage are seen. No crypt abscesses/fissures are seen. No granulomatous lesion is seen. No atypical/dysplastic cells are seen.
Opinion: Non Spec ific Colitis (No specific features of IBD are seen)
What does this Report mean in layman terms. What are its implications. Is there something serious.
Please help !

I was shaving and my razor slipped. I remember thinking "I'm surprised I didn't cut myself." Well apparently I broke the skin because now I have a boil in that spot. So now I'm wondering, how should I take care of my razor. How often to throw it away? Should I put the lid back on? What about my dog and cats? Should I be worried if they sniffed it, ect??? Do you even think something was on the razor?

I swear, even though I think I have a milk intollerance of some kind, so I started drinking soy, I get bloated and/or sometimes I feel like I have fluid behind my eardrum. Anyone get this? just wondering and just felt like asking a question. when i talk i say words completely wrong not on perpose just my mouth just pronounces them that way and i have to stop and correct myself. I also stutter alot but not a really big stuttering problem.

Lately, I've had high blood pressure, usually around 135/85 when resting and sometimes as low as 123/72. Tonight, I have BP at 159/96 and I just took 2mg Xanax, which is prescribed to me for anxiety so I'm pretty chilled out. Besides anxiety, what could be elevating my blood pressure?
