Chronic pain affects millions of Americans every year. Most of them do not know where to turn for help. I am the director of a clinic that specializes in the treatment of chronic pain. Our clinic consists of well trained medical doctors that follow evidence based guidelines for the treatments we offer. Each year we provide real results to thousands of patients. Yet for every patient we help, there are hundreds of patients in our area that have never heard of us. Most of our referals come from other doctors but recently we have decided to take our message directly to the public. We have rented billboard space for the past several months with no results. We have also tried newspaper and magazine adds without results. I think the decision to go to a doctor is very personal and most people want someone that they can trust. This means they need a referal by someone they trust. How can we break through the trust barrier to reach these people who we know we can help?

Some of you are thinking I am confused about The Medications my Son recieved at the Hospital. I know this the Hospital medical records say he was given Morphine for pain and My son took 2 hits in 20 minutes. He had an allergic reaction to the Morphine the Doctor ordered Narcan My sons heart rate went up to 200 and above. the Doctor ordered another medication to slow the heart rate down. an hour after that My Son Died. That I have in writing. If what you all say is true that Narcan doesn't reverse the effects of Morphine. The that tells me My Son was given the Wrong Medication. Am I Correct?

Every once in awhile I'll get a pimple in the same area on my face. It's definently cystic acne but usually I'll only get one. My skin has been fine for like 4 weeks now out of nowhere I get one. Anyone know any ways of preventing getting these at all? I have gone to the dermatologist. She gave me minocycline was on that for 2 mos. for rosacea. Rosacea cleared up. But since I stopped taking it now I have cystic again. Could it be hormones?

She gets too nervous about anything she can think of. I actually got a call from her teacher last year about her shyness. She doesn't like to go to birthday parties, because of there being "too many kids"....Is prozac the only answer, or are there natural vitamins that really would help...I'd hate to have to put her on medicine, but I want my little girl back....what should i do?...she is nine....HELP!

i have had 2 biopsies, one inconclusive because they did not get liver sample, 2nd was conclusive and showed minimal scarring, i have not drank since 1978 and i try to eat foods that are not heavy in iron, etc...i have no jaundice and never have had...i also have a very high viral count.. i am healthy otherwise and just wonder if this disease will all of a sudden flare up or will i just die of old age without ever experiencing the ravages of liver failure?

If I drink a Mountain Dew, Flavoured beer, mixed drink, or certain beer, I get servere pains in my stomach. It's pretty unbearable. Am I becoming diabetic or something? Is my panceas going to explode? Should I be worried?

My father in law has cancer and, is really ill and just admitted back into hospital, due to complications.
I really feel for my mother in law, as this is such a hard time for her, i really wish i could do something for her, but she never needs any help and even though i offer there is never anything i can do.
Whenever i think of all the pain, she and her husband are going through right now, i feel really sad, and totally helpless. i just wish i could do more.
