In many cases, the duration is so short for a given attack, many patients treat the outbreak symptomatically only: mouthwash, oral antibiotic/steroid rinses etc. Some people have such frequent or serious outbreaks that anti-viral drugs (which can have quite significant side effects) are worth the risks and costs involved. In general, good oral hygiene and avoidance of oral trauma are good measures to help prevent outbreaks. Prophylaxis for dental cleanings or procedures (which can cause outbreaks in many people) with famvir or acyclovir can really help if you repond to them.
In the end, you will learn what "triggers" attacks and how you can deal with them. As noted, prophylaxis with famvir and acyclovir can help.

If she has bloodless sores, then there's a good threat. Bloodless sores are a form of Herpes and one can reason the opposite. Performing oral intercourse on any person who has herpes will reason bloodless sores too. And as for Ashlee W's reply, it can be genuinely extra like 1 in 8 persons who've herpes (despite the fact that oddly adequate I've by no means spoken to any one who has it), so if you're significantly concered, you should deffinately see a healthcare professional. Considering that it is more original than you may also suppose.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

I do and I have tried a multitude of drugs and wives tales. The truth be told nothing seemed to work and some made it worse. I started to track my outbreaks and found they came on when I ate certain foods and when I got a fever or too much sun. i now avoid said foods and try to use a lip balm with an SPF. I no longer suffer great agonizing outbreaks. I get a small sore every so often it just can't be avoided but no where near the horror I suffered through before. Good Luck

Valtrex is a popular antiviral medicine that effectively slows the growth and spread of the herpes virus so that the body can fight off the infection. The active ingredient in Valtrex is valaciclovir. The antiviral medicine is found helpful for treating genital herpes, shingles and cold sores. Though Valtrex does not cure herpes, it is found immensely useful in reducing the symptoms of the infection.

It achieves this goal by blocking the action of viral enzyme called DNA polymerase that assists the herpes virus to replicate. Valtrex stops the herpes infection from replicating and spreading.
