Yeah i know...ouch.The dentist numbed the area obviously, but that was at half past six and my mouth is still completely numb! I'm really hungry and can't eat properly cause it just dribbles out. How long will it take for this to wear off?

I had a root canal 10 months ago but because I work full time and go to school full time and on the weekends I never had time to get it capped. Yesterday the tooth started to hurt when I looked at it I noticed that half of it was loose and I am almost sure that's it is going to fall off. My question is since the other half of the tooth is still intact can a dentist still put a crown in it? What are my alternatives if I lose the tooth?

Thank you

I did it 48h ago with 6% hydrogen peroxide from my dentist. I was shocked at first as the fluorosis was much more obvious and previously invisible areas had become evident. Things have settled a bit but the white patches are still much more prominent than before. Would really appreciate any advice.

My husband has had a rotten tooth since he joined the army (in 2002) he went to the army dentist but they just filled it, well now its starting to get alot worse, it has rotted so much the filing has fallen out and its just to the height of his gums, well now his ear is starting to hurt, and his gum is, not the actual tooth he can tap it and everything but it doesn't hurt. But he cant sleep as soon as he lays down it hurts, the only soulition he has found is to drink cold water (it has been well over 100 glasses in the last two nights) he knows its not good to drink that much but he can't find any other soultion, we don't have the money to go to a dentist, so if we were to pull it ourselfs (the strongest pain reliver is my 500 mg vicodin) what would you say to do?? we do have alot of beer he could drink, but we dont want to do that, also what tips do you have to help it stop hurting him so bad, we cant even sleep at night, because i am too worried to sleep because he is so sore.

I am having a tooth extracted this week and the procedure itself doesn't scare me. It's the bleeding. I have a hard time with blood and not good with things like that. Will I bleed a lot during the extraction? Will I be completely freaked out the first day or two about the blood? Will I bleed when I sleep the first night? How bad will the bleeding be? Thank you

first off dont give me crap about lip rings if you dont like them i dont care. I came here for help not for you to complain.

I already schedules a doctors chekup but its a week from now.

Ok so Ive had my lip piercing for about 10 months now. So i kept it out for a while and i stuck it back in and it kinda stretched out the hole a bit. It was a little red and sore but i assumed that would go away. Now its a little bit more swollen it looks likea bit red zit ...it doesnt realyl hurt much but every now and then there is this discharge...not like puss it isnt that watery but this yellowish white discharge out of the hole. Is it just healing or infected?

Im seeing a doctor...as i said its a week from now tho. What can i do now to help my lip?

I have a toothache from a molar. I am on antibiotics and was referred to an Oral Surgeon. The Surgeon is telling me I should have a root canal on the molar and then he will extract it.

That sounds crazy to me? Why would I spend money on a root canal for a tooth that will be removed in a month?

I have a crowned front tooth (9 years old and no root canal)) and for a couple of days now I have had extreme heat and cold sensitivity. Sharp pain even if I go outside in the cold, cold drinks, warm tea etc. Goes away pretty fast. Chewing is okay too. Now I know that I have to go to the dentist and I know what is going to happen there. After all I have 17 crowns, root canals, re-treated root canals, operations, countless hours in the chair and thousands of dollars in my mouth. My question is only is there a chance this will go away on its own or does it sound too severe and I might need a root canal. Also is there a way he can treat it through the crown? I am just trying to make it to January 1st and for my insurance to start again. Yeah I will burn through that real fast. Brushing with Sensodyne now LOL!
