I have a minor bout with ginigivitis and I am scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed this Friday. The dental assistant said I was good to go for the surgery.

I have had gingivitis for the past several months and went through four treatments including a debridement. I've used prescription mouthwash but recently ran out of it (my gums started to get a little red after that but I bought some regular mouthwash today).

I've brushed and flossed and mouthwashed religiously twice a day almost all the time. My gums look a little better (a lot better than several months ago). Should I go ahead with the surgery or should I call the surgeon and talk to him about it first? I specifically requested this time off from work and I don't want to have to cancel the appointment and re-schedule again.

I am going to drop off my prescriptions for Vicodin, a mouth rinse, and amoxicillin this week.

....and I have a mild gingivitis thing going on in my mouth. According to the dental assistant, it isn't worth worrying about going into the surgery. Should I just go to my scheduled appointment and see what the surgeon thinks?

I have been given three prescriptions and one of them is for Amoxicillin (the other two are Vicodin and an oral rinse). I also brush, floss, and rinse with mouthwash twice daily though I missed my twice-daily rinse because I ran out of my regular prescription rinse.

I'd like to get Invisalign, and I have Metlife Dental that covers 60% of orthodontic services, and that would include Invisalign because it would count as braces, but the question is, is there a difference when Invisalign is offered through a dentist or an orthodontist? I heard that dentists may charge less, but it's just what I heard. There's 1 dentist and 1 orthodontist that provide Invisalign in my area, so should I go to both places to have them look at my teeth to see how much it would cost? (Well, if I am an eligible candidate for Invisalign.) I have 12 crowding teeth, 6 on the top, and 6 on the bottom, all in the front and my canine teeth stick out like vampire teeth. So if you can answer, please help! Any dentists or orthodontists? Help?

Thank you! ^_^

i went to the dentist about a year and half ago at the time i was having some pain on two of my teeth and I could feel what felt like holes.. I told my dentist the teeth that were hurting. After taking xrays the dentist said that thoes teeth were hurting because the teeth behind them had bad cavities so she filled them and sent me on my merry way. I was ok for a few weeks and then I started having pain again and could still feel the "hholes" in my teeth. I made an appoinment and went back and she said I was ok but to use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. I did and was ok for another few weeks. Then my insurance was cancled because I quit my job and I started having pain again and still could feel the "holes" in my teeth. I am unsure of what to do. Should I go back after its been so long?? Or should I go to a different dentist?? Or what??

That's the best way I can describe them. My son is 6 months old and his first teeth to break through were his TOP two in front. They have continued to grow in and I have noticed that they seem to have a v-shape to them. THere is no flat surface on the bottom of the tooth! I am concerned that something is wrong. I know baby teeth are sharp, but these don't look right. Anyone else seen anything like this before?

After all, my breath is right under my nose. But no matter how bad I think my breath might be, I can never find a way to check it out. I've tried breathing into my cupped hand, and even breathing onto my sweater and sniffing it, but I can never really tell, so I just make sure I always have gum or a mint in my mouth.

Tin foil through my Tooth filling?

1 - Ok I haven't tried it yet but this one crazy *** stupid ignorant small brained Mexican classmate of mine (Its not the race! its him! so don't get any ideas!? im also Mexican!) Well he told me that if I rub tinfoil on my tooth filling my mouth would go all numb?

2 -- Is this for real? I wanna do it but im too lazy to get up and look for a tinfoil thy kitchen in which does not apply to my race that Mexicans don't have tinfoils, or tooth fillings because we're poor!? well they fill it with nacho sauce then! but I have a filling on one of my tooth.

3 --- Has anyone tried this yet? does it go numb? why does it go numb though???

4 ---- Without all the ethnicity in the world there would be no world. Am I right?

Working with some dentists to make their practices better. What are things that bug you about the way you currently find a dentist, schedule their services, or experience a visit that you think could be better?
