Why can't I smell my own breath?

Question

After all, my breath is right under my nose. But no matter how bad I think my breath might be, I can never find a way to check it out. I've tried breathing into my cupped hand, and even breathing onto my sweater and sniffing it, but I can never really tell, so I just make sure I always have gum or a mint in my mouth.

If you really have to check your breath, get a bit of your saliva onto your hand and wait for it to dry. It will dry rather quickly. After it's dried, smell it to see if it smells neutral or stale. If it smells bad/stale, you need to pop in your breath mint.

you may have a weaker sense of smell. most people are immune to their own smell, but unless that smell has gone excessively different (either too smelly or too fragrant) its the only time they'll actually recognize it. not smelling your own breath means it doesnt smell noticably bad, not artificially good. try eating a strong mint and you'll see what i mean. if you dont smell that, have a specialist check your sense of smell.

Um.....miss.....have you tried to ask someone you know if your breath is fine???,if so they say that it smells great,then don't panic miss, just keep doing what your doing to keep your breath keep smelling great,ok miss........And maybe that your breath is being blown by the wind too quickly and that you can't smell it and oh yeah miss almost forgot,if the someone you know says your breath smells awfull,don't panic miss just change your way of dental cleaning ok miss
