Working with some dentists to make their practices better. What are things that bug you about the way you currently find a dentist, schedule their services, or experience a visit that you think could be better?

I absolutely hate when i go to the orthodonist and I wait forever in the lobby and then I go to the back and sit in a chair for another long wait. Then the nurse comes over and half pays attention to me while she is administering care to me and chatting with another nurse and then i wait another even longer time for the doctor to come over. If you want happy customers don't overbook and be efficient and curteous when they come it.

By far one of the biggest frustrations is the cost of dental care. Many Americans avoid going to the Dentist unless absoulutely neccessary because of costs.

Now there are programs that will actually reduce the cost of dental care. Discount dental plans are available for less than $20 a month. Plan members simply pay a discounted fee at the dental office at the time of service. The Dentist gets paid and avoids costly dental billing with the insurance company and the patient saves up to 80%. See sites below for details:

I'm currently on ortho treatment. I realised that the on and after care of ortho services is important. It leaves a good impression on patients who might continue their other treatments in the same clinic after the ortho treatment. Unfortunately, I don't really enjoy good ortho services. I always fear going back to my dentist when some parts of my braces fall off or some wires protuding due to the inflexible operating hours & dentist's tight schedules & possible unhappiness from him.

My dentist is wonderful, he is very patient with me, because he knows I had a bad experience at a young age. The cost of root canals and crowns is expensive. Can you do anything about that.

THE DENTIST WHO HAS FORGOTTEN THAT A PERSON IS A LOT MORE THAN A WALKING TREASURE TROVE OF BRIDGES, CROWNS, IMPLANTS, ETC.
ALSO, THE FACT THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS NOT KEPT UP WITH ECONOMIC PROGRESS. THE BENEFITS THEY PAY IS THE SAME THEY PAID 40 YEARS AGO. THEN THE BENEFITS WOULD BUY A LOT OF DENTISTRY. NOW THE COSTS OF DOING DENTISTRY DON'T MATCH ANYWHERE WHAT INSURANCE WILL PAY FOR.

My dentist doesn't practice dentistry. He is in the business of dentistry. He wants to do each and every single treatment my insurance will pay for. But my teeth are fine right where they are, thanks.

just shop around, get recommendations. doesn't matter what we don't like, only matter what you do like, and you need to find the one that you can trust and isn't ripping you off and doing unnecessary crap to take your money.
