A natural remedy is clove oil. You can get it at Walgreens in the tooth pain area. You should put it on a small section of cotton ball the on the affected area. It should almost immediaty stop the pain. Then you should call a dentist.

Darling, The Best thing you Can Do Is go See a Dentist Or what helps for me Is take a Tylenol.. (The White Kind not the Coated Kind) and Place it on the tooth and let it dissolve on the tooth.. The Aspirin Goes Directly to the Problem instead of Traveling thru the Bloodstream.. If there Is a Whole in your tooth Just Place it inside the tooth. Also Once it Dissolves Swallow the Saliva/Aspirin Mixture. What Also works Really Good is Rinising your mouth Out with that Brown/Golden Colored Listerine.. It's The Original One. It Burns Like Hell For a Few Minutes But It Helps Out alot Bc it Kills the infection. But if the Problems gets bad enough Where your poppin' Pain Killers You Might Need to Go to A Dental College and Have it Pulled at a Discount Rate

I know everyone says to go to the dentist, but that's the best thing to do. It could be an infection or abscess, which can get worse. You could need antibiotics, so don't put it off. Ibuprofen or Oragel may help the pain, but pain is a clear signal that something is very wrong- don't wait until it's more difficult or more painful to treat.

Clove Oil .... and time .. tooth pain pretty much goes away after a period of time, unless there is an abcess. The pain could be a tooth thats slowly decaying and its getting to that point. Sugar( Soda ), Cigaretts & Some Drugs will speed up the decaying process of an already weak tooth.

Go see your Dentist. An aching tooth may be a sign of a cavity or even some form of dental disease. If you are sure it is not a cavity or a dental disease, then any regular pain killer will work. I know some folks who crush a Tylenol and apply directly to the tooth, and they seem to get relief.

Aleve. It was the only pain killer that worked for me when my teeth hurt. I had a root canal that wasn't done properly and caused me significant pain for a year (until I had the tooth pulled). Aleve was the only over-the-counter remedy that helped the tooth pain. Also, consider getting some Baby Anbesol. The baby kind helped me more than the adult kind. Good luck!!! :)

A trip to the dentist comes to mind...
Any advice that people give you might make the pain subside for awhile, but it's not going away until you get the tooth fixed.

tie string from bad tooth to a doorknob... close eyes... have friend hold you... have other friend SLAM DOOR. hahaha. my cousin did that to me with a loose tooth. but your tooth probably isn't that loose.

go buy some anbesol. oral anesthetic. dab a little on a qtip and apply to the area. becareful not to use too much cuz it will mix with saliva and then you will have a numb mouth instead of just a numb tooth.

The best thing for that is to see a dentist. You may have something really bad going on. Short of that, placing an ice cube in you mouth and letting it slowly melt can help temporarily.

Take a pain pill first, then apply orajel until the pain medicine kicks in. If it hurts, you might have an infection. You need to go to the dentist, to get it checked out.
