I have an Abcess that I'm currently taking medication for. Due to the medication doing it's thing, I've developped a small "lump" of what I assume is puss beginning to escape and it hurts. Would it be ok if I decided to take a needle to it and pierce the swell?

So I have the Damon Bracket system braces for my teeth but it seemed like the dentist put them on and they hurt for a week now they're ok. But how do they work, he didn't seem to use a graph or something to decided what tooth will go where. He just slapped them on and away I went in pain.....now I'm fine and now what????

Problem started in 2000 when this denist drilled out half my molar to fill it. By 2004 it already had a small cavity in it. I was waiting for my insurance to kick in before getting a crown that year but now work for myself and do not have dental insurance. The tooth doesn't hurt but it feels funny or out of place. The filling feels like it has moved and or cracked at the tooth line. I hope I don't need a root canal but I'm not sure. I feel I have put this off too long and need to get it taken care of. I was looking into a dental plan to save about half the cost. Dentalsave.com, for example, has a root canal quoted for $445.00 vs. $725.00 and a Porcelain non-precious metal crown is $410.00 vs $705. This seems a little too good to be true. Anyone have some good advice on my tooth problem or dental plans?

Two months ago I had four impacted wisdom teeth extracted. On the left side of my jaw, there is a marble sized lump that hurts when I apply pressure to it. The other side feels completely fine and all swelling has gone away. Although it is not extremely noticeable to most people, I can tell that the left side of my jaw has not returned to what it was pre-surgery, and this can be seen in photographs. What could possibly be causing this bothersome lump and swelling, two-months after surgery? The doctor told me the normal healing time for this surgery is 2-3 weeks. Is this a major problem and what can be done to alleviate it? I'm going to call both my dentist and my oral surgeon first thing tomorrow morning, because I no longer think that it is a normal part of the healing process. Any insights or possible explanations would be greatly appreciated.

Someone I know had this white thing sticking out of their tonsil, and they squeezed it to remove it and stuff, and probably about 3/4 inch came out. It looked somewhat like the stuff that comes out of a pimple, but turned dark and yellowish later. It left a hole, caused bad breath and caused gagging because of the smell. Anyone have any ideas what this may have been?

alright, ive had braces for a few months (since september) and im supposed to have them for 24 months. until now ive had upper braces, bottom lip bumper and turbo stops on my upper front 2 teeth. i am now just getting my turbo stops off and bottom lip bumper off and braces on the lower teeth. its now heating into more of the party season for high school and i have braces and in a sophmore. i really hate them and i duno how long ill have the top braces on (theyre the only ones i care about). and i dunno if i should try to get the top ones off early or get headgear or what. and are they less attractive to girls sooo much?

Only because veneers are way out of my budget.

but i have some questions like since my teeth are crooked and i have a gap will they fix that or would it be harder for them to go on?

and would I have to replace every 'N' number of years?

and do they yellow after some time?

and if anyone has other info about it or a website that'd be much appreciated !!

If your wisdom teeth are "normal" do they take them out differently then if they are "impacted"? If they are impacted will you get put to sleep? (Or can they still take them out while you are awake?)
