okay, I have a really bad jaw problem.. called TMJ...TMG??.. o god. can't remember.
anywho, the other night i was having a really shewy meal with my family and i think it got a little messed up. the left side of my mouth felt swolen, and out of place (the jaw)
when i looked into my mouth more thourougly, i could see that one of my back back teeth where the swellin seemed to be was missing
i looked at the other side to see if the other tooth was still there and it was.
It might just bee so swolen that it covered the tooth but i'm not sure. The tooth was just about 3/4 finished coming in, whiel the other already did. I'm not sure if I should be freaking out or be calm about this.
Does this happen often?..., what should I do about it? Do you know what might be going on?

My teeth on top in back started feeling numb. And than started hurting, and when I look in the mirror my gums are swollen. I haven't had a cavity in over 25 years. And I have never had a toothache, I have one now.. I don't ever want another one. :) I don't have dental insurance, so I dont want to go to a dentis if I don't have to. Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone have any idea what it could be? BTW I went to the dentist about 6 months ago, he took x-rays, the whole she bang and I was fine, no cavities or anything.
Thank you

The tip of my tounge always stays pink and a strip in the middle of my tounge but the rest of it has a very light white coating and theres some yellow in it. I brush my tounge, i use a tounge scraper but it wont go away and i also have PND and a bad taste on my tounge too. What could it be?

I chose to have porcelain crowns put onmy front teeth for cosmetic reasons. The permanent ones (I rejected them) came in too short, uneven, slanted inward and with a gap. They are like nothing that I pictured. I bawled. The dentist offered me my $ back and said I could find another dentist if I didn't want to resend them to the lab. Now I have to specify what I want...I assumed it was understood that I wanted symmetrical, straight, perfect front teeth. I have to show the office what I want based on pictures from their office booklets that they sent me home with so they can instruct the lab to make them exactly as I want. In addition to all the above, in the office light, the color reminded me of old crowns I have seen on older people that look to be about 20+ years old. I am devastated. This is a procedure I looked into thoroughly before making my decision and now I feel I made a mistake as there is no way to restore my natural tooth.

My teeth aren't bad. They aren't yellow but the shade of white they are isn't as white as I would like. I'm thinking getting them bleeched because I'm on a budget and lazer would be expensive. I'm looking to spend MAX $750. Suggestions?

i am 34 and have very poor dental health. I am in the process of making arrangments to have all my teeth pulled and get dentures. My problem comes in when I got to reading about how your dental health effects your overall heatlh and the problems it can cause. As I was reading I came across an article about Sjogren's Syndrome. As I read I noticed that I have alot of the symtoms and have had them for a very long time. How will that effect having all my teeth removed? Will the results benefit me or cause me more health problems overall?

I have a feeling my state funded dental plan for my 9 yr old child is playing a role in this dentist not wanting to cap my child's front tooth. My son chipped his tooth last April, 2006 (about one-third of front tooth was broken off). To repair the dentist bonded this tooth. Since last year he has had to have this tooth repaired 4 times due to trauma and the bonding material chipping off and/or chipping his tooth above the bonding. It chipped again only after 2 days of being fixed from eating a soft taco and the dentist decided to put in two pins to help the structure of the bonding material. I asked him about possibly capping the tooth and he disagreed until my son is around 18 due to the tooth still growing and the cap line will be below the gum line within a few years. It seems ridiculous to keep rebonding over and over again and I need a professional opinion if you think this dentist advice is accurate.

There's this sore I got in my mouth a few days ago and everytime something touches it, it stings like crazy (it hurts to brush my teeth)! I looked up mouth sores on google, and I think it's a canker sore. I've seen creams for it, but does that stuff actually work? What are some other ways you deal with them?

I am 14, and my dentist says that my wisdom teeth are coming in. I can feel them, and one (on the bottom) seems to be coming in sort of under the other tooth and tilting it up. It doesn't hurt right now. Do you think I am going to have to get it surgically removed?
