i am wearing retainers now, and i wear them religiously! i always keep them on, b/c my doctor said my teeth would move withoout them on. well, despite my obedience, my bottom teeth have moved ALOT, and are crooked! i jsut wen tot my doctor, and he said that they would have to make a new retainer fro my bottom half, that wud cost 200 dollars!!
the doctor say that the reason my teeth move is b/c every person's body is different, like some ppl's teeth that dont wear their reatainers don't move at all! i think that this is a phony LIE, and jsut an excuse for their mistake for not making me a good reatainer in the first place....and they are charging me 200 dollars on it!!
so if you know, what may be the real cause why my retainers are not functioning? please help!!

So I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled originally I was going to get just 2 first then 2 later cause I have to get all 4 taken out. But I changed my mind and want to get all 4 at once...and because mine are weird( they're going horizontal instead of coming down)

my regular dentist cant do it himself and I have to get them surgically removed...I"m a little scared.. call me crazy but Im afraid of having to be put to sleep and not waking up...do they have to put me to sleep or is it just less painful that way...also should I get all 4 at once or do 2 at a time.

I want to whiten my teeth, but the Crest White Strips are kind of expensive for me. How often do you have to buy a new package? How long do your teeth stay white? Is there anything cheaper that works just as well? I'm in college, and don't want to spend a lot of money.

I have a "medium" size gap between my front teeth. I don't want veneers or the like. One of my front teeth is an implant. Can this be fixed with braces? Traditional or Invisilign?

I am 22 yrs. old and am 5 months pregnant. Six days ago, I experience numbing in the bottom left side of my mouth. The next day, pain came along with the numbness. The pain got worse and I thought it was a toothache because my teeth in that area became sensitive.
My husband took me to the dentist and we found out that it's probably inflamed tissues of the nerve that's located in that area (possibly due to infection or trauma). He showed me a chart of where the nerve begins and extends and that's the same area that I experience numbness and pain (all on the bottom left side).
He says he has never seen this before and all he can do is prescribe me amoxicillin. He says the amoxicillin won't harm the baby. But, if it doesn't clear up in a few days, or it gets worse (like the area starts to swell), then he may reffer me to a neurologist.
I am scared. I am also on beta-blockers for my heart and don't want to add more stress to the baby.
Has anyone had this happen before?
